2018 E63S AMG
From earlier threads it seems many will discount. It's been a while now so I don't recall the particulars but my dealer (Escondido Mercedes) was able to discount the prepaid maintenance by a fair bit. Went with this dealer specifically because Herman Haemmer worked there - he was our go to person for European Delivery. Herman has now moved to El Cajon Mercedes following the change of ownership at Escondido. Haven't had any dealings with the Escondido dealership since so can't say how willing they are to deal now.

When I added up the cost of the services (my service advisor provided the costs to me in person), it was less than the prepaid!! Plus, you do not get to residualize the prepaid on AMG leases. Unless you get at least 25% off, it is a BAD move. Just pay when you go.

Yeah seems high - I am in Germany and I think I am expecting to pay 170 to 180 U.S. dollars or so based on the quote of around 150 Euros. I will report back once it it done. Probably be a week or two before I hit the 3000 Km/ 1850 Mile point.

Differential oil change quotes from 200-400 and engine oil changes 300 without anything else such as cabin filter and brake fluid change.
Dealer markup on these is only 100-200 so they have no margin on them.
PS: I just had my differential oil change completed 2 weeks ago and I asked how much it would have been without prepaid it was 400+tax

What about this............can I shop the prepaid maintenance out? In other words, if I buy it from one dealer, will anothe totally seperate dealer honor it? Does MB take the money and pay the dealer back whenever the work is done, or does the dealer keep it and just apply it when you use? (someone is holding the money and earning interest, just not me anymore)
My dealer just quoted me 1885 for 3yr/30 and 2490 4yr/40. They also stated that prepaid is the way to go because you don't have to pay sales tax or worry about any price increases. Any imput?

Well has anyone found dealerships selling these PPM cheap or cheaper (without me buying a car with them)? Or is it always something that is negotiated with the car being sold at the same dealership. I cannot get my dealership to move a penny. I guess they already lost enough on the deal. I tried another dealer close by and they would not move either.
I'm just curious to know because I never really considered buying PPM since to me it just makes better since to keep that money myself and earn my own interest so to speak.

Update, just got back from my rear differential service. It was 134 Euros (about 150 dollars). Also, the 3 bottles of gear oil costs more than double here in Germany so I think a pretty good value.
