Dragy results
Tried my dragy for the first time last night. Only did 2 (0-60) pulls because it was late. Car was consistent with 3.11 and 3.10. Second run wasn’t valid due to the slope but I’m still trying to find the right areas to run these. Will do a few 60-130 pulls soon. I will say that is my first time using launch control and it is easy to use and violent!
I had a full tank of gas so I think I could shave some time off. Extra gas alone is an extra 70-80 lbs. With less gas and the JB4 hooked up soon hoping for sub 3. 3.11 puts me in 2nd place on the leaderboard for June and can’t lose to a W212. Appears the quickest W213’s ever were in the 2.75-2.8 range. Something to shoot for!

You mentioned that a run wasn’t validated due to a slope. Does that mean you were going down hill? The app requires a pretty much flat proving ground?

If slope more than +/-0.95% system will mark result as "invalid". You can see that stamp on the right up corner on screenshots.

Getting JB4 installed on Friday so we will see how the car responds over the next few weeks. Going to ramp up boost slowly to see what level on top of my tune is safe.

It’s still slow we can run 2.7-2.8. There are also a few tricks to get those numbers. Make sure tire’s pressure are about 40-42 and temperature inside wheels 100F or more, also turn stabilization fully off and do not let car launch from 3500, launch it at 3000rpm more grip - better result. Also, try to run with maximum 2/8-4/8 fuel level. And do not mess with jb4, pretty dangerous thing

Is 3500 rpm's still to high for a stock car to get best time or is the advice to drop rpm's because of the tune? . I pull a 3.15 (Dragy) pure bone stock without reducing rpms at all. Track pace app in car has shown a couple of runs close to 3 flat.

why wouldn’t a tuner just make a stage 2 map that does say... 25lbs of boost tune only instead of 23lbs of boost and then you need a JB4 to spoof another 2lbs?

I often wonder how Canadian cars seem to track really well. This hasn't been discussed much but I heard that the engines are regionally mapped at the VPC for differences in available fuel quality & ethanol mixes. If this would be true, this could account for slower/faster performance

Because the tune was optimized for 93 octane. I can hopefully add additional boost with higher octane fuel. I won’t run the JB4 all the time. Probably only when I go to the track. It will also help a lot down the road if I upgrade turbos and run WMI.

how would you gain/run higher octane fuel on the daily? you'd really put $8/g race fuel into your tank just to drive around city... or are you talking about e85? i was under the impression these cars didn't like e85 (aka would ruin our fuel lines/pumps/engines? or just straight up didn't make extra power?)

I would only use race gas at race events. Roll racing, 1/4 mile, etc. You can just put the JB4 on map 0 for daily then put it on map 2 or 3 with race fuel.
Map 0 the JB4 is disabled
Map 0 the JB4 is disabled

Finally ran below 3 seconds in 0-60. I think 2.8 is easily possible since I had lots of wheel spin and full tank of gas. Will start logging this weekend on my JB4 with regular 93 octane. Next weekend will log with 102 octane and see what I can do. I just need to find a good road.
