How are you launching your E63 to achieve fastest 0-60?
When I put my car (2019 E63s) in race mode, and have the track pace activated, the fastest 0-60 I can get from a stop is 4.5 sec.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I have never used launch control or would I ever abuse something I worked so hard for.
As a mechanic I laugh when I see posts like this and then laugh even harder when the inevitable happens as if it's the car's fault..

Is this one of those internet posts where it’s hard to see the sarcasm?

I hate manufacturers that clearly build a launch control process in their product yet know and sometimes warn in the manual that it will cause wear and tear. The only launch control I ever used religiously was the Turbo S 991 models I had; simple as pie!!
The Benz launch control process doesnt allow for immediate use or impromptu dig battles. The way I launched my car was a bit of brake boost and baam in sport plus. ESC in Sport as power is nothing without control.

I have used launch control many many times in this car, and it has never had an issue.

I would say consider yourself lucky it held up but still it is pushing the limits as far as I see it.
I had a 2016 Turbo S and never did a hard launch, no matter what anyone says it is mechanical abuse on all the moving parts..
Hey to anyone wanting to do these launches please post the bill and photos of your parts when it fails..

Not that it has any relevance but the only homologation vehicle I’ve owned is a Ducati and I’m not taking shots at him, I’m stating the lack of evidence spanning a full decade doesn’t support his claims.

I asked an AMG product specialist at the driving academy how safe it was to do lc’s . He mentioned that they had a car in their fleet that they have done over 2k lc’s without issue . Maybe blowing smoke?

Thanks dude, I actually paid $148,000.00 + tax [cash] for my car and the control arms were far from cheap with the OEM bushings installed.
As for the LED light bar it works for me as do my mud flaps.
Enjoy your weekend and have a nice day sweetheart...

@Cityvibe, LC is very easy to use but it will not engage until the transmission and engine have warmed up. Once the transmission temperature reaches a safe operating temperature all you need to do is put the car in Sport+ or Race Mode put your foot on the brake and hold then push the accelerator to the floor--the revs will climb and hold at around 3000rpm's. When you are ready to go just let off of the brake and the car will catapult off the line--the car should accelerate to any where between 3--3.3 secs with ease. Hope this helps. Also, forgot to mention that the car needs to have completed the break-in period which is around 1,000 miles give or take before it will allow you to use LC. Good luck.

Wow I'm impressed, I know now if I want my tires to last past 4.500 mi. with it lowered and with -2.9 neg camber all I gotta do is drive straight down the highway.
Awesome I'll pass this along..I guess a front -1.6 neg camber is not necessary, I'll let Mercedes know how you've mastered the geometry of the front suspension.
Why on earth would I try to sell my wagon and continue to make it more enjoyable in the canyons... Some people buy cars to drive while others lease and worry about milage and resale value.
Not me.. I drive.. Enjoy the weekend

So you boast about “driving” and “enjoying” your cars in one breath and in the next rag on others for doing the same just because it’s a different kind of driving than you? Not to mention trying to shame them with your blatantly false statements about their methods causing failures!?? You’re a special kind of umm...genius.
Enjoy your 2018 E63s anyway you like, oh wait you don't own one, but this is a public forum and I'm just giving my own advice and you can take it or leave it I don't care...
I will still laugh when your non-2018 E63s fails due to abuse but so many people will never post the fact that failures do occur due to abuse on these cars...
***** ya gotta have them if ya wanna man up

You say false and I say I've seen failures due to abuse, that's not ragging it's telling others to beware of the pitfalls when modifying.

Oh and sorry, you won’t be able to laugh because I traded the car in on something better and faster. But I can’t wait to lmao when your modified suspension breaks (and it will break). I just hope it doesn’t cause you or anyone else any harm when it does...

I put over 130k miles on my non-18 and besides the MCT being a crappy trans for an E class, it never failed with countless Race Start launches. And those were launches on a prepped track with drag radials. If there were failures over the last 10 years that Race Start has been in use, we’d have much more documentation than hearsay from some random genius that says he’s seen it but can’t provide a single bit of proof.

I hear there are great leasing deals out there..

Lmao. Not sure what my E55 or current lease deals have to do with any part of this discussion. Either you’re trying to deflect discussion from the original topic because you know you have zero proof of your absurd claim or you somehow think you’re insulting me. If you were the least bit observant you’d know I’m into modding and putting miles on my cars so leases don’t work. Either way, I’m thoroughly enjoying the new car as it does everything I hoped my E63 would do but couldn’t.
