Hi! I have a 1D3 (last week of January) build date for my E63s and I'm wondering when I'll be able to receive it. How long does it generally take from build date until delivery?

I had a mid-November build date and my car was at the Baltimore VPC by early December.

Got it! From other threads I've read is seems there a re a lot of steps in the process from build to delivery!

It would be super fast (<6 weeks) if all the shipping logistics are performed without delay.

True. My last delivery got delayed for a month because car was sitting on the dock!

Back in 2016 I had a September build date on a special order and my car showed up in April of 2017!

And the car showed up damaged and I rejected it.

So, YMMV

For me it took like 15 days from the day the car left the factory.

I had a December 2nd decade build date, I got my car at the dealership by the end of January. Once your car is built you can request the dealer to provide you with the shipping information on what ship it will be assigned to. You can actually track the ship itself.

I put it my order for a new 2021 63 on 7-1 and have not heard yet from my sales guy any updates. Not sure if he is too knowledgable since this was his first actual build.....so we will see how this goes lol.

mine took over a year, ordered in dec of 18, got cancelled in april of 19, re-ordered in june 19, got cancelled and reordered as a 20, car arrived feb of 20. i did not mind i have a couple of others that r my fun cars...

Did he provide you a copy of the build confirmation sheet? Once my slot was secured my dealer provided me some paperwork showing the info about the build date and confirming the various options.

Yes as well as a down payment to hold my spot in line. Doesnt say anything about the build date, he just printed off a copy of my configured build. Doesnt show the cost either, just showing $0 for now. Also had him add in the vented front seats I think he forgot about that, hence why it is not showing from this sheet.

Interesting, mine had a lot more information on it, including order number, delivery date and delivery location, which was Sindelfingen. Maybe since it was a European delivery it had more specifics.

Could be that way...Im eagerly awaiting for him to let me know when the actual build date is and obviously delivery. Cant wait to see it in person. First time stepping into something at this price point, and I have weighed out numerous options and different manufacturers options so I hope this is what Ive been waiting for! My current lease is a truck and is up in December, so I do have some time to wait so Im hoping that everything pretty much lines up perfectly.
