I'm still B7, but I want the ship on Dec 22. That one arrives in Brunswick on January 4 instead of January 9.

Unfortunately, the ship on Dec 22 arrives in Brunswick on January 10, not the 4th. The name of the ship I believe that we're on is called "Honor". I'm waiting for confirmation from my salesman on Monday.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the Honor - she belongs to the shipping line I’ve been watching all along. I think that’s going to be the one.

Do you guys have access to the tracking or do you ask your SA for updates?

All of the Netstar status updates come from the salesman. Once the ship has been confirmed, it’s easy to track online.

Mine is supposed to be built in February, can't wait to see yours. Hopefully mine gets pushed a month, I would rather avoid swapping to winter rubber for a month. Only 9 short years left to retirement and hopefully I can move South.

Up to a point. Once the ship gets more than about 40 nautical miles off shore it vanishes off the AIS tracking systems.

Then you have to bite your fingernails until the ship comes back in range of a tracking station, hoping it didn't get swallowed in the Bermuda Triangle or whatever in the mean time

Does anyone know what tires the E63S sedan and wagon come with? I hope Michelin PS4S's.

Luck of the draw. Half PZeros and half PS4s. If you get stuck with the Pirellis, the good news is that in less than 8,000 miles they'll need replacement anyway.

If I’m unlucky enough to get the P-Zeros, I’ll have them swapped for the Michelins in days. There’s simply no comparison and no reason to suffer with inferior tires for thousands of miles.

Reading all these posts remind me what I went through last year. Waiting for the ship to be assigned. Seeing the ship not move on that map from the English Channel. Mine was a European Delivery and I wasn’t allowed to even see my car — much less drive it — while I was in Europe. In its place, I was given a ‘19 E63 sedan that was headed to AMG Performance Driving School. It was agony. All I can tell you is good things come to those with patience. The wagon has been a dream.

This made me laugh. P-Zeros are awful tires. Continentals are a close second. Absolute trash. I’d be shocked if my car comes with Michelins. Car gods always punish me. 😞

I texted my SA this morning and asked him to put a good word for Michelins on my build. I'm sure it's a crap shoot as to which tires get put on but I figured asking won't hurt.

I tried that a month or so ago and was told that there's no mechanism in place to enable a sales guy to influence the tire choice. It's just a matter of what's on hand when a particular car comes down the line. I'm hoping for the best, but my Tire Rack cart is filled out and ready to go.

I finally got my order confirmed. March second decade build, May delivery. Timing is okay, as my current lease expires April 30.

However, interesting development. Multi-contour massaging seats are no longer available. This was a supply chain issue. They're not taking any orders with them now. My car will not have the massaging seats. Which is a bummer. But not a show-stopper. I also wiffed on the ceramic brakes. I know they're wonderful and all, but I just don't need them. Word has it that in cold climates they squeak and squeal a lot. I decided to drop them from my build as well.

Now the wait begins.

I have a 1/11 production date and probably early February delivery but I have not heard my SA mention anything about the massage seat supply. Would this only pertain to cars ordered in the December time frame? Not sure how much info you have on this. I really loved the massage seats in the pre-face lift and its a deal breaker, for me at least, if I can't order them.

Firstly, congrats on getting your order confirmed. Secondly, it's hard to believe that they'd have allowed a supply chain issue to arise such that they'd be without such a popular and essential option as the massaging seats. I wouldn't want to be without them, myself. Still, needs must. I also passed on the CCBs as, squealing aside, I don't believe them to have any useful function on the street when stopping from normal (or even slightly supra-normal) speeds. Brake dust avoidance is simply not worth the premium to me.

Best of luck with car. It's only another five months...

It sounds like they are running out of them, so your cannot spec an order with them. I would guess if you already have an order with them included, they you got the last of them.

CCBs

I have CCBs on my M5 and ordered them on my E63 wagon. Are they worth the price? Probably not. Having said that - they stop on a dime, produce zero brake dust and look amazing. They squeal less than standard brakes IMHO. To each his own. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great! Ship name? I think it must be a different line than the one I’ve been watching.

I'm still B7. Talked to my salesman this morning. They have 41vehicles waiting to get to the Brunswick VPC including mine. Perhaps MB is grouping them up into one arrival. He still believes January delivery is probable and that's it's also possible that things got loaded today and that the status has not been updated. I'm glad I only go through this only every 3 years.
