2024 AMG EQE SUV , 2021 E63S Wagon - gone, 2018 E63S Sedan - gone
Have you been reading the 2021 Owner's Manual? I am coming from a 2018 E63S and I'm noticing a significant change in the manual buttons that used to be on the dashboard, but are now either on the steering wheel or on the center console. I'm also seeing the wheel control shapes that do not appear to be the 2021 configuration at all, but some other design. I was hoping to shorten my orientation exercise, but it appears that I'll still need significant training time to find everything that I've currently been using. I'm going to have fun in January!

Cool video; thanks for the link! I want to know where all those yachts were headed...
Yes, I've read the 2021 Owner's Manual several times already, as well as the AMG supplement. I'm sure to be spending some quality time sitting in the car with the manual during the first few days, but I'm accustomed to learning complex new systems. I don't usually waste a lot of time with the formal "orientation," as I can't remember the last time that a salesman knew more about the car (even on delivery) than I did. It's definitely going to be fun!

No, my VIN number is actualy lower than yours. B60 is not a production code. B5 means produced. The cars are still in Sindelfingen until they get shipped to the port when the code will become B7 which means waiting for a transport. Not certain when the next ship loading to the US is, but I can see several possibilities next week if the cars get to Bremerhaven soon.

anyone know what the average time is between the build (start) and delivery dates for CA? my dealer is telling me March production means May delivery (~2 months), want to see if it that's reasonable

Pretty conservative. My car was built on 12/15 and expecting deliver in mid January.

New update: My car has gone from B5 to B6 which is ready for transfer to the port. The time by train is around 10 hours. So, the car could be at the port in time for Dec 21 ship loading.

All of this talk of people getting their cars shipped makes me realize that my dealership neither has an allocation or is going to get one anytime soon.
How can they keep telling me that it is "in the system" and "will be processed soon?" I mean, don't they realize at some point I am going to wise up and go elsewhere. Are they just hoping that MBUSA will take their order? Or that I will give up and buy some E350 they have in stock.
Is there anything I can do to compel MBUSA to take their order?
I really do not want to have to go out of state, especially since my state does not have sales tax and its a pain to buy out of state (the plates are a pain to transfer.)

Compel MBUSA to take an order from your particular dealer? Nope, not a thing you can do.
I've done the plate transfer thing a number of times and it really wasn't that big of a deal. It certainly wasn't a big deal compared to not being able to order a car I wanted when I wanted it. Of course, YMMV...
