Unlocking the full functions of the multi-beam LED headlights
So I was recently communicating with the gentlemen that provide our lowering modules, and he informed me that he and a partner now had an OBD port device that can unlock the multibeam LED functionality.

Already a bunch of members on the W212 forum have already installed the ILS feature to the LED and multi-beam headlights.

I would be interested in this aswell, is there a list of features that it can unlock?
*edit** I didn’t see that under the eBay description is says what features it is capable of.

It's my understanding as well that the US end Euro headlights are a different PN for the turn lamp color. But the intelligent LED lighting hardware of the high/low beams is I think common to both.

i don't wanna hurt your business plans but why are you charging somebody $510 + $40 shipping for an OBD-II port, $2 in hardware, and the exact same stuff someobdy can do if they had a $20 CAN adapter plugged into their car with a shell script (start diag mode to module, do seed/key, change variant coding / activate special routine to recalibrate)
i get it, by all means, make your money man. it's just very ouchie. on MHH auto they sell tunes for $99 + coding for $99 as well. $99 is a good price. you didn't develop any of the solution. you stole it from sniffing xentry/vediamo/monaco CAN traffic and now if you sell 50 you are gonna make $25k in revenue off of your fellow car/tuner comrades. i wanna make $25k too, but not by ripping people off. :P

I doubt that creating such a module is as easy as you think.
The guys make modules that work without errors, excellent service and fast delivery, and give only positive emotions.
Man your car is E63s, which costs much more than $ 25k. It will take many years to make money on a car like yours, when you produce a product yourself, you start selling it without a brand. And if you make products for E63s, you definitely want such a car.
You may be able to make money quickly because you have a good team of salers, marketers, and developers, but they all have to pay.
Why haven't I heard more about such modules from another manufacturer with better price?

I emailed the seller and he confirmed that his module would work with my VIN, so the US hardware supposedly does support the intelligent features. As noted in the other thread folks are reporting success in enabling the features on other US Mercedes models as well.

I am the OP in the thread on the W212 board..
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...d-my-w212.html
I used Vlad's module.. as a matter of fact, I was the guinea pig for the facelift W212. The install went perfectly and all functions work as they do in Europe. It is worth the cost as it completely changes visibility during night time driving.
