2024 BMW M5 with 1,000 HP All Electric!
What will next generation E63 have? Reports say BMW will build both a All-Electric M5 with 1000 HP along with a Hybrid M5 with 750 HP:

Just another case of "me too...", as bobblehead already pointed out, a 1000HP in electric car will be a fairly common thing by that time, Tesla Plaid, Lucid Air, etc already promise that kind of power within a year in a sedan.
I am not getting excited by anything electric until they develop an actual, real quick charging, on par with internal combustion type engines.

Just another case of "me too...", as bobblehead already pointed out, a 1000HP in electric car will be a fairly common thing by that time, Tesla Plaid, Lucid Air, etc already promise that kind of power within a year in a sedan.
I am not getting excited by anything electric until they develop an actual, real quick charging, on par with internal combustion type engines.

That's right, pull up charge in five minutes and move on. Waiting 30 minutes or whatever it takes doesn't fly for me.

Hopefully gas engines will remain the standard or maybe even hybrids.. just take a look at the Houston area a few weeks ago during their “snowpocalypse” when electric companies couldn’t keep up with the demand.

Yes that’s been my guess as well. That hybrid powertrain was developed on the current-gen AMG GT 4-door, which is also the same platform as the W213. Hopefully they can improve upon the rather spotty reliability of their current hybrid powertrains. Going to be a lot heavier, that’s for sure. We’ll see…in the meantime, I sure am enjoying my hammer wagon (sans batteries)!

Which one. You dying in the next 10 years or electric cars being ubiquitous in 10 plus years?
I have 3 V8 AMG's and 6 years ago I planned on buying and collecting a 2023 W213 E63s and then a 2030 W214 E63s etc. etc. etc. Now we can't buy those future cars due to environmental issues, crude oil and electric cars.
If you haven't come to realize that 'our' favorite V8 powered cars will be gone and you plan on living past the next 10 years and plan on buying new cars you may have no choice other than electric.

I used to be in the ICE only camp until my wife wanted an EV in the household. We ended up picking up an etron GT. It’s a pretty awesome dd. Power delivery and handling are superb. Of course I still have the E63S for the rumbles and rawness.

Your reply was assuming that the existing ICE will be extinct by that time and there will be no choice but to go EV.
If there is 20 years old E55, how come a newer E63s would not last this long?
