It is there, but the app is a part of the MercedesMeConnect app and is a service. I have not idea why this cannot be offered in the US.

Seat questions

I just got a 2018 and am learning all the ins and outs of the ui.

Is there a way to have the drivers seat move back when the door is opened? I see the ability to have the steering wheel move out of the way, would be nice if the seat did as well.

my workaround so far is to use another seat memory set with the seat back. Then that raises the question; is there a way to just press the seat memory button once and have it move to its saved spot? I have to hold the button down the whole time it’s moving into position.

Looks like it needs some aftermarket mod

car button, vehicle settings, you have none, wheel only, seat only and seat and wheel.

edit.. page 96 of the manual

So I tried auto park feature yesterday. Slowly driving by open spaces (side of road parallel parking spots), and nothing happened. Tried a few passes. What did I do wrong?

The trick is to stop and then to select the parking spot(s) found. Kind of a cool feature.

^^^Thank you! Cool feature. Mine didn't work because my parallel spots were on my left. From the sounds of video this functionality only works for spots on right side of vehicle.

Bingo! That is correct. Not sure why this is so, however since the car will park properly in orthogonal space fore and aft.

This is okay by me since parallel parking is much more difficult for me in tight spaces on the hit of the car. Don't want to get too lazy. Wonder if the computer has ever curbed a wheel. Haha imagine trusting the car to parallel park and it curbs a wheel.

Mine hasn't curbed a wheel - though it it has scared me once or twice that it might. But in the end, it knew what it was doing.

Speaking of curbing a wheel... my favorite non-"go fast" feature is the cameras above each wheel that make it nearly impossible to curb the wheels if one is paying proper attention.
