E63 w213 Vibration on Full Stop!!!

I have a 2019 E63 with 10k miles on it. I’m getting cabin floor/seat and steering wheel vibrations at idle when in gear only when in full stop . Vibration immediately goes away as soon as the car starts moving. It also goes away when I put it in neutral or park or vibration goes away when I turn the steering wheel slightly in any direction. Sometimes the vibration is not noticeable and sometimes it’s very prominent. Happens in both comfort and sport modes. The vibration is definitely noticeable by both front passengers but it’s nothing too crazy. The car started to vibrate at about 8k mile and it seems to get more vibrations over time..! Is that an early sign of an issue ? And if yes what is the issue? Thank you !

Sounds like bad motor mounts.

What is the RPM at idle when in gear? Does it still vibrate if you add a few RPM while holding the brake?

Did you ever get this fixed? My 2020 e63 is having the exact same symptoms and started at the same mileage.

The local dealer told me there is a slight misfire that can be felt intermittently. There are no fault codes, but it can be felt. I’m told AMG knows about this problem and does not have a proper fix yet, so it is better to wait vs trying random fixes until one works…

Wild guess but I'll say your plugs are beginning to go. These acrs are gapped as wide as possible for emissions purposes.
I bet it does not take long before it's having issues at low rpm load

Had that issue with my 18 M5 and I think it's happening again with my 21 63.
Mine is more pronounced at freeway speeds when I go to accelerate lightly and they car sounds like it's misfiring. No issues though

Did you recently have the car serviced?
I remember having this problem on my 2014 W212.5 E63, (vibration at idle, and while waiting at a stoplight with car in drive) it turned out the dealership put too much oil in the car... after removing 1-1/2 quart the idle vibrations stopped.

It has been 7000km since my last service. I recall the vibration always being present, just a lot more noticeable the last couple of weeks.

Oil would have been an easy fix, but the levels seem fine. As stands my cold oil is exactly between max and min, when warm it is just under the max level.

Just curious if any of you have been able to confirm that this is common issue since the introduction of the 9G transmission around 2017? I have been shopping for S-class S560 and have test drove sooooo many of these (like about 10 in the last 6 months) and I did notice this in almost every one in most cases when I get enough drive time with it. Seems like a design flaw and not an isolated problem? I am an OCD type of person when it gets to noise and vibration and can say that maybe 70% of owners would not notice what am referring to but I see that this has been raised by many owners so I wonder if you guys have recieved any formal notice from MBenz that this is just how it is designed.

Every thing u mentioned matches all S560 cars I tested. Only very light vibration at FULL STOP that goes away as soon as put in Neutral or Park or as soon as car moves. Weird.... One guy posted and said that it is the 9G transmission behavior. As always, MBenz makes the worst transmission tuning/coupling with their engines.

My 2018 S63 behaves almost exactly how OP described. Its not a bad vibration, but it makes me feel like the S63 is ready to launch like its engaging in a pre-race start rumble/vibe without actually using RS; rpm normal at full stop. Have not experienced this in my 21 E63.

I had this exact issue with M176 engine in my car. Took replacement of 2 motor mounts and 1 transmission mount to fix problem. Runs smooth as silk now.

Collapsed motor mounts are a cause of vibration on every model of MB. Very common.
