Will this winter tire set fit a 2022 E53

I found this online for a good price, just wondering if this will fit my 2022 E53 ?

Winter Tire Package:
Wheel: 8J x 19 ET 38
Tire: 245/45 R19

Does anyone know the stock wheel and tire size for a 2022 E53?

Thanks in advance.

If you want to go by factory spec.

square 245/40/19

f: 19x8 et20
r: 19x8 et43

proposed tires will result 3.5% lower rotational speed reading. Your ride height will gain 12.5mm.

as for wheel, the front is 18mm closer to suspension, so it may rub if turning the wheel lock-to-lock.

overall, bigger tire for front and too close to suspension should not be considered

I think the 20" stock 2022 e53 rim size is:
20x8 et 20 ?

20x9 et 43 ?

Will these work?
20x8.5 et 35.5 ?

Thank you.

Did some research online.
Are the OEM 2022 E53 wheels 20x8 ET 20 and 20x9 ET 49? If so here are my calculations using online calculator.

Front Rim Stock = 20x8 ET20
Front Rim Aftermarket = 20x8.5 ET 36

22.4 mm closer to strut and poke out less 9.7 mm ( plan to put 10mm spacer) or do i need a spacer?

Rear Rim Stock = 20x9 ET 49
Rear Rim Aftermarket = 20x8.5 ET 36

19.4 mm away from strut and poke our more 6.6 mm (no spacer)

245/35 ZR 20 on 8 J x 20 ET 20 (Front)
275/30 ZR 20 on 9 J x 20 ET 49 (Rear)

20” is optional.

your proposed front 20 x 8.5 et 36 will very likely interefer with the suspension components. It is calculated to be 22mm closer to it.

You need 20mm spacer for front to push that wheel back out, imo

Just wondering what would be the best option for the front wheel?

Just worried with a 20mm spacer it will poke out the wheel 10.3mm will that be too much? It will get the rim to the OEM position at the strut though.

A. No spacer = 22.4 mm closer to strut and poke out less 9.7 mm

B. 10mm spacer = 10.4 mm closer to strut and poke out more 0.3 mm

C. 15mm spacer = 5.4 mm closer to strut and poke out more 5.3 mm

D. 20mm spacer = 0.4 mm closer to strut and poke out more 10.3 mm

I suggest C. I simply don’t want any part of the wheel that can be too close to any suspension components.

the 10mm being extended out would kick up some winter debris and salts which can do some paint scratches on the lower rocker panel.

Thank you, i think option C would be best, it gets the wheel +5mm inside and out.

For 20mm, don’t buy until you have found the right extended length wheel bolts. These could be hard to find.

I believe the stock shaft length is 23mm. Thread length is 19mm. Therefore, you will be looking for one that add 20mm to the shaft length. Approx. 45mm

To All,
I have a 2022 E53 coming in "soon". It's on the boat and should be here in the next week or two. Well, at the port anyway. I ordered with 20" rims and performance tires and want to buy 19" rims and All seasons for winter. No one has the 2022 e53 listed in their online order form. If I look up rims based on the E450 will they fit my car?

TIA

Your rear is ok with the E450 setup (identical to E53). But your front will have an issue.

E53 - 19 setup for front
19 x 8 et 20

E450 - 19 setup for front
19 x 8 et 43

That means the offset will result of your wheel 23mm closer to the front suspension component. You will need 20mm spacer and extended lug bolts to extend it back out .... if you want to make this E450 wheel work

Do you know of anyone that sells rims for the 2022 E53? Rims I can use without spacers? I haven't been able to find anything online.

TIA

These are used for winter square setup but they are OEM wheels. You can compare these prices to your local MB dealers and see if they are priced reasonably.

2019 E53 coupe vs 2022 E53 sedan offset?

2019 E53 coupe vs 2022 E53 sedan offset?

same offset same setup?

someone has a 2019 E53 coupe with Eurodesign Sacco rims. 19x8 ET 30. 245/40 19

no issues on a 2019 E53 coupe at all.

so that would mean the rim is 10mm inwards front And there is no rubbing. And the rear are 13mm out with no rubbing.

Would it be safe to assume this would be the case on a 2022 E53?

22 and 19 should have the same OE wheels spec.

10mm closer to the front suspension may not rub perhaps. Would any snow/ ice build up affect the steering movement capability? How about if the steering is turned lock-to-lock ? If you can get your local tire shop to do a test fit with those wheels to confirm, then I think it would be better.

you can also ask if using 10mm spacers for the front is recommended, thus bring the spec back to OE.

So my E53 is here. Well, sitting at VPC in Baltimore. Hopefully I'll get it this year.

I've been looking at 19" rims with A/S tires to replace the 20" w/high performance summer tires. Can anyone tell me if ALUTEC or MSW produce good rims? Those are the two manufacturers that Tire Rack has whose rim designs I like and will fit on the car. I only see one review for MSW.

TIA

Msw wheels are related to OZ wheels of Italy. I would think they should have some good quality behind their wheels.

alutec wheels and Rial wheels merged in 1998 but they still made wheels under their respective brands today. Rial makes some quality oem wheels for Porsche (I believe, like 992 991)

I bought a set of MSW wheels for my 2015 650IX and put on dedicated snows. Ran that setup for 3 years, no problems.

I used MSW on my 2019 E53 last winter. Vredstein Wintrac Pro. These these were excellent. I also bought a set of MSW Type 74 ( a bit more complicated design then OEM, but they look deceptively similar.} with Michelin Pilot Sport AS$ for my car . Also 19 inch. Both I bought regular tires, not runflat. I just listed both sets on marketplace for sale. They fit perfect, but I used spacers because I wanted a bit more aggressive look. I live in NJ and it's a killer deal if you are close. Otherwise just look at the ad and the specs. I got all on Tirerack. One of the wheels is no longer available, but they have others. Watch the offset closely. I bought the spacers and lug nuts on line at 4wheelspacers.com. They sell just lug bolts as well. Front is an ET27 8x19. Rear is 9x19 ET40. Tires are 245/40/19 and 275/30/19. I did staggered as you can see as it was easiy wityh the offset of these staggered sizes and I did not care about rotating etc. These balanced very well and are fine quality. of course they are made in China like all but the high end wheels. I could not justify the cost ( for me) using real AMG wheels for winter.
