Well, there's no break-in period required . The car rides like my wagon did on the interstate. I have the optional acceleration package installed so the 0-60 is 3.2 seconds. Base HP is 617! I do have to get accustomed to the sharp turning radius because of the rear wheel steering. The main manual is 579 pages long and there is another set of guides for quick views of the controls. Awesome sound system now with Dolby Atmos processing as well. I was torn yesterday when I turned in the wagon. However, .......

Here's the listing of my former wagon by the dealership in Raleigh, NC. FYI, this spec has rare CCBs.

Have you launched it yet to 60mph in 3.2 seconds? 155 mph with your Spec correct?

You might be starting a Trend with the AMG Wagon Elite. Unfortunately my wife has not yet fully mastered her 2020 Honda CRV Hybrid...lol

You guys will just be jealous of how powerful and smooth the AMG EQE SUV is in fact. Power is there on demand instantaneously. The interior sets the E63S FL to shame IMO. Everything works from day 1! No break-in period, oil changes, etc.

The brakes still needs to go through bed-in : )

Be careful with the tires for the first hundered miles because full traction is not available until they are run-in : )

If you would do it again, would you get what you got or buy the EQE 300? 500? and pay for the subscription speed upgrade

The brakes work with the electric motors to retard the speed. Most of the time they're barely engaged due to recuperation. I would still get what I got again because of the AMG dynamic suspension in conjunction with the airmatic suspension. The other models do not have that combination. Additionally, the other models do not have the raw power of the AMG EQE SUV. It's really the combination of several systems that make it so good. I don't say that lightly. I had 2 AMG ICEs over the past 6 years and this feels superior. However, the car still weighs 1000 pounds more than my previous wagon, but the center of gravity is very low because of the battery pack, so the handling on curves is very flat.

Thanks for pointing that out, I totally forget about that...

Lease or Regular Purchase?

Last week I sat in a EQE 350 SUV briefly. They were shipping out their higher spec EQE 500 SUV that had much more presence to another store. I mainly sat in passenger seat of their FE AMG Wagon on showroom floor and fell asleep while my wagon was being serviced in Athens...are they the same AMG Performance Seats that you have in your AMG EQE SUV?

I haven’t purchased a vehicle since 1991. It makes no sense to me to tie up cash in a depreciating asset. NC highway use tax (3%) is assessed on the lease payment only so I don't have to pay the entire value of the car upfront! So, this car is leased from MBFS. There were a couple of rebates and discounts applied as well. 1st, while I wouldn't qualify for the $7500 rebate from the IRS, the fact that the car is leased allows MBFS to credit that amount against the MSRP. 2nd, I received a $2500 fleet discount from MBCA (Mercedes Car Club of America) for being a member. 3rd, I received a loyalty discount of $1500 from the dealership. The $11500 total was placed against the MSRP to reduce the capitalized cost.Additionally, MBFS had miscalculated the residual value of my wagon which the dealer paid off which netted me over $23000 (I will get a check from the dealer after the title is received). Oh, and I had purchased an extended warranty from Mercedes when I initially leased the wagon which I didn't use which is another $7500 back to me. So all in all, the lease payment on the new car is 400 less than I was paying on the 2021 wagon and that is after I added a wheel and tire warranty to the charges.

I don't know what seats are in other AMG SUVs that are not this model. I do know that the ones in my car are very supportive and have a lot of adjustments. I also purchased the energizing seat package which is interesting to have for long drives.

Great score on your Leases!

I've been buying and Leasing with my GM Employee Discount since the mid 1980's also negotiated a $122 cheap lease on my 2010 Honda Fit and $179 lease on a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek that I used off-road at the Missile Range as a Contractor. Leased a 2012 Honda CRZ for 3-years with no monthly payments because of positive equity with trades and a $8500 check from Borman Honda. Ended up purchasing that Hybrid with rare 6-speed manual and traded it in finally on wife's 2020 CRV Hybrid. Between 5-vehicles I drive about 30K miles per year now.

The AMG Wagon that paid MSRP for, might be the only car I might lose big money on when it comes to depreciation but have a potential buyer in the neighborhood who currently drives a S212 E400 Wagon daily to NASA. My brother sells high end cars in New Jersey and has offered to broker a late model G-Wagon Sale before the 2020 Pandemic Wholesale for $100K Cash plus a small commission. But was more interested in the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing manual as my last Premium ICE. I might use his services on a GT55 or GT63 if I unload Wagon after Son graduates Tech after 2026 but my car buying days might be over in Retirement...

Taking the Wagon for a Joy Ride soon before sundown this Evening!

You'll definitely be taking a hit on your 2021 wagon in 2026. I would guess the value would be around $42,000 assuming that there's still a reasonable market for the car. I personally figure I'll be leasing at least 3 more cars before I hang up my license. My current ride is quite fascinating. Enjoy the sunset.

It appears that the wagon is no longer for sale on the dealership website. That was really fast!

How are you enjoying your electric SUV, Harris?

Last few weeks I've been driving the cheapest Model 3 you can buy, and it feels faster than my wagon. Lol

Electric spoils you with immediate and useful power down low where you typically need it most for normal driving.

I'm gradually getting through the manual to determine how some of the systems work. My driving range has been improving by about 10% so far. It should top out at 275 miles at 100% charge. Of course, the charge level is supposed to be kept no higher than 80% unless you really need maximum range.

You're correct on the smoothness of power. My biggest issue is getting the seat adjusted the way that I like it since the driving position is a bit higher. Sound system is awesome compared to the wagon. Lots of stares from.people as I drive by. Funny thing is that after 1 week I feel like I've always been driving it.

I'm sorting out a glitch in the Blind Spot Assistant in which it occasionally shows disabled when I start the car in the morning. Very intermittent and codes are thrown so we're off to the dealer on Tuesday for problem determination. Definitely a software timing issue on initial startup.

Test drove AMG EQE SUV this afternoon at Mercedes-
Benz ATL NE in Duluth where I purchased AMG Wagon in 2021. AMG version not as high off the ground like I thought it would be but definitely higher than E63s Wagon. Put it in S+ and took it "around the test drive block". The base 617hp spec is pretty snappy, can only imagine how much faster your Hypersonic Spec is. The Base EQE 350 SUV seems like a generic Chevette in comparison. My senses were overwhelmed with the Hyperscreen plus the default fake noise reminded me of the Flight of a Fuchs-Wulf 190 mixed with the Warp 9+ sound effect from Kirk's Starship Enterprise in my Dream State Magic Carpet Ride. Can see how this Beast can replace AMG ICE Wagon for the Tech Savvy Inspector Gadget Types. I'm more of a Analog Instrumentation Airman who was forced to go Digital because was well compensated as an Engineer until 2015. Started as an Avionics Inertial Navigation and RADAR Systems Specialist in the C-141 Starlifter Analog Cockpit in 1980. When arrived back at the Dealership my Slovenian Salesman awarded me The Blue Max after a successful landing on the Carrier Deck...lol

Enjoy @HBerman , obey the Prime Directive and watch out for the Deer in your Time Machine!

I'm still mesmerized by the Sound of the GRX from 1967 Speed Racer Cartoon Episode and will never ascend to the Higher EV Plane...

Funny video! I'm glad you experienced the power and ride of the AMG EQE SUV. Yes, the car is not much taller than the wagon (6 inches) and the ride height of 1" more. I have the sound set to Authentic and I usually am using the AMG DYNAMIC control setting. The car is so quiet that I have to check how fast I'm going (usually 5 mph more than I feel). Fun and games. My wagon was sold off the lot in less than 72 hours!

In ten years when Daughter happens to LEASE her mom an AMG SU-eV to replace the 2020 CRV LX Hybrid, I would feel obligated to chauffeur the Wife to work, ALDI, or whenever else the Boss desires...under Protest. A man has got to Eat.

Problem addressed. Applied a software update for the radar sensors and recalibrated the forward cameras.

What do you do at the Dealership when waiting for AMG EQE SUV software updates and proper puddle light installation?

On my third Service A at Athens GA dealership I sat in passenger seat of their unsold FE 2023 AMG Wagon and watched old episodes of Banacek on my Kindle. The following week test drove AMG EQE SUV at Duluth GA dealership after dropping off Son for his GA Tech Spring Semester...

16K on my AMG Wagon's odometer now. Glad I invested in front PPF and Ceramic coating. Wife's CRV Hybrid occupies the Garage at GA Residence. Wagon relegated to driveway since return from Long Island and Reston VA just before Christmas.

I watch CNBC and log into my Schwab acct. I made $3500 while the car was being serviced.

Thinking about wading into the ‘23 AMG waters. You guys and girls are having too much fun!

What am I missing with this new ‘23 wagon down in TX? Looks a little too good to be true

Certain people will turn their nose up because of no carbon ceramic brakes. What's the actual selling price?

Suppose that’s fair enough. Definitely a nice to have in a heavy car (track or no track).

Had been going around and around with dealership on it. It’s offered at MSRP. It’s sat for a while waiting for fuel pump replacement. Best I could tell, it’s been bought a couple of times but stop call has gotten pushed and buyers have walked.
