“Cold Air” intake
BlackBoost has an intake that makes decent power for a much more reasonable cost of you aren't specifically looking for carbon fiber.

I have datalogged enough W213's to have seen, the 'seal' really doesn't make much of a difference lol
For half the price of blackboost, this is a great addition to any guys who want a intake setup to make some noises, competition always benefits us customers.
I just have upgraded panel filters and called it a day until I get the PTG's... a nice closed system.
100%, I usually tell guys throw in some filters in the stock box and call it a day.
Even Most tuned M177’s dont run too much wastegate duty cycle in logs, flow in general is good.

At idle, or red light situations, there was a touch higher delta with the open cone while things just heatsoaked.
The M177 on the E63 has a great intake setup from factory. Its ram air right into the boxes and from there directly into the turbos, there is about a foot of air travel from ambient air, to the turbos. Gives the air less time to heat up with such a short path of travel, and of course response.
Compare to say the M157, there is about, 5-6 feet of travel time from where the ambient air begins its travel, to the time it gets to the turbo, that ambient air passes alot of heatsoaked parts including a 2-3 foot metal pipe that sits in the front of the engine collecting heat.
On the move, 30+ MPH, most of these systems are getting slammed by ambient air, whether stock or open cone, because of the ram air effect from the factory setup.

What would you say is the best filter to get more air into the engine or is it even necessary?
