W213 E63s RMS Leak

Someone needs to check EPC for succession of part number for the separators. If a history of part number changes is the case, and if your car does not have the latest part number, replace the separators with the latest part number. Because the problem is new/emerging, there is no guarantee the latest part number is “the solution”. It is simply the best choice available at the moment.
If there is no evidence of part number revisions, replacing the separators is still prudent because it would avoid a plugged separator which has seen some use. As stated earlier, it’s not possible to know exactly how much time or mileage is required before the separators plug. But it is certain that a newly installed separator is not plugged.
The above is a movie seen by MB owners over the years. MB has a problem, doesn’t say anything, and issues revised parts in the hope of solving the issue without fanfare.

As we all know finding leaks can be tricky. In the diagnostics phase by two service companies (local MB tech and MB dealer) areas that were considered was oil sensor at pan (that was changed and vehicle still leaks), oil pan gasket (not changed and later said to not be leaking), cylinder head gasket passenger side (up in the air), valve covers (voted most likely) , and my suggestion which I wish I could have checked when I had the vehicle, was a Campaign No-2017100008_ Cam Shaft Cover leak 10 min fix. The last thing the dealer mentioned was a possible RMS leak but they didn't want to go there without replacing the valve cover gasket.
Currently the dealer is convinced its a valve cover leak and their process is to pulling the engine to replace the valve covers (not sure why engine needs to come out for valve covers but I wouldn't put it past engineers these days right?) and they said since the engines out they can check the RMS? For valve covers they want $13k with parts and labor? I don't have cost on RMS replacement. No warranty, they wanted $11k for an added 3yrs 30k and I said... Nah!
My head is spinning with all this back and forth with service techs and have no idea what to believe.
Questions for the group:
Valve cover gaskets requires an engine pull?
$13k for valve cover gasket replacement? AlldataDIY is saying 15hrs (@ $250/hr thats $3750)? RMS at hrs?
Anyone have any luck getting Mercedes to cover some cost? How much?
Anyone find ALLDATADYI useful for major service jobs they need to do themselves?

he has a YouTube channel so here’s the vid which shows where the oil starts to drip from for those that haven't seen it.

Just tell the dealer ahead of time. or you can consult with the dealer as to what color is best suited for this investigation. For mine, dealer used a 'blood' red color. Not sure it means this is the best color or not ?
don't use food dye color though. hehe.
You probably can buy that in your local Auto parts store. If not, ask the dealer or buy from Amazon. It is in a small bottle.
