Harris, the leather, thankfully, is a few shades darker than white. I've used only Leather Masters cleaner and conditioner for the past 20 years. It is amazing stuff. Way overdue, maybe. Project for this summer. Most every surface in my truck is covered in leather, even the roof. Even though it's 14 years old, it'll still reek of leather again after a good cleaning and conditioning. BTW, if you get the Leather Masters, make sure you opt for the matte conditioner.

Can't find the matte anymore, doesn't look like they make it. I have had mine for so many years the label has worn off. A little goes a long way. I need to buy more myself and will give them a call next week and let you know. I now see they sell on Amazon. They have a starter kit here including the cleaner and protection cream.

Didn't know Buick offered the same color. Happy to hear you liked it. If it looked good on that barge, I believe it could look good on anything. Saw it on a G-wagon and I was hooked. Took months getting Porsche's Slate Grey approved but changed in the final hour.

not like this matters but I wonder who had it first, MB or Buick? Just curious, that's all.

Based on some quick Google work, Buick (1960) was first to use the name. I believe Mercedes introduced it in 1971 on SL. Countless automotive 'Midnight Blue' applications. Popular name so odds are they share name but not formula.

Very happy with my AT at the moment…will wait and see what the S214 AT is all about, and see if we get an AMG version of the new wagon in the US before looking hard at the Audi.

1. The inner tread of the left front tire had a different wear pattern than the rest of the tire (namely a toe-heel pattern), but only slightly.
2. The alignment needed to be corrected (posted results in another thread) and was executed
3. Tires were rotated side-side to even out the wear
4. Tires were force balanced
There were no other anomalies uncovered. The car is a bit quieter now, noise at slow speed is gone, maybe a little less noise on the interstate, and the steering wheel center is now dead on. ($388 total bill)
The inner tread wear is the result of the aggressive negative camber (-1.54 degrees) which has been documented in other threads. Interestingly, my PS/4 AS tires had over 18000 miles on them and the tread depth is 6/23" which implies at least another 10,000 miles to be had before needing replacement. By comparison, I'm certain that I would have already consumed 2 sets of PS/4 tires. The fact that these cars only come with summer tires is a real crime. I took delivery of my wagon in Feb 2021 when the temps were hovering around 40 degrees. Michelin says not to use the PS/4 tires below 45 degrees and the traction on the tires was not good. Fortunately, it wasn't raining. I trashed the PS/4 tires within the next two weeks.

The low-level noise has been greatly diminished and I expect that as the tires wear a little that the roughness on the tire (toe-heel pattern) will be reduced. I don't feel any real reduction in highway noise/vibration after the force balancing, but it's hard to know without a control. The steering wheel center is dead on now and the car tracks straight (but it was OK before). I'm changing the tires out in the Spring so that should address any remaining residual noise.
