E63 Final Edition
For the US market there are roughly 11 2023 E63 S wagons and 128 sedans already allocated and built or very close to done. To my knowledge none have been released for sale (I have one stuck at the VPC waiting). In addition to the ones above that were ordered to spec, there are 150 final edition sedans and 150 final edition wagons coming to the US that will be identical specs and not customizable. There are no new orders available for a 2023 E63 S in the US in any form.

Same, coupe or sedan I love them. Also, S coupe was nice. I was picky with MB but I truly loved my cars.
I wonder now if they’ll end up coming back with a Final Edition S Coupe like they did with the E and go through this process again :/
I don’t really understand, even if reasoning was growing sales all these new models they’ve introduced are almost redundant, it seems like it’s aimed at a relatively lower price points to make the cars more accessible, but they’re getting rid of models that people loved, that Mercedes was so good at combining luxury and comfort with fun, fast, reliable, beautiful powerful cars. It seems like they’re focusing on lower end sedans and small SUVs, and the options and interior options don’t justify even the lower price. Dropping down to 450 from 550s (among others), phasing out AMGs, which are expensive but not crazy like Maybachs, which even if someone would spend that money, - imo- it’s kind of flashy, when I compare to S63 coupe. If they keep going this route, Audi RS/S or the BMW M models may attract formerly loyal MB customers. That even happened to me in 2018, needed something after lease, went a few blocks down and picked up a BMW hoping to go back to the E models.

Thanks additional information always helps. I believe maybe the Delray guy said the ones posted are all identical and not customizable, which I don’t mind at all, they’re currently how I’d order them more or less. So far they still seem pretty available, and the one dealership I called bc unfortunately the woman helping me at MB was very, very new and couldn’t answer most of my questions, she was nice and I hope she has success. At Fort Lauderdale, it was disappointing, but things happen for a reason bc now I have a lot more information. I’m curious to see how fast they sell. The guy in CA was super helpful so he said he’d let me know when they arrive or any updates. But this thread has been great. Especially with this situation. From builds to checking out inventory before a lease it’s been seamless. I really appreciate your comments! I hope any info I’ve posted shed light and also why I’ve been trying to follow up, but for now, until I get updates only time will tell. Thanks again!

The base price on the E63s has increased by less than 7% over the last 5 years and many options maintained the same price point as before. AMG is a high margin brand and they will not suffer much on the E63s. In terms of value, the Final Edition does not seem to be a good deal, given the prior editions. But that is clearly in the eye of the beholder, just like ADM. You love it, you buy it. Pay to play...
But there shouldn't be any illusion that the cars higher price will somewhat translate into increased value. Just like other options, this will be a Pennies on the Dollar gain... This is no G-Wagon

I can definitely see a couple short-term high price sales in this market but that will be an exception IMHO. 999 cars sounds like a lot to me. It would be interesting to check on the Edition 1 Wagon prices in the US. There were a total of 3 cars built and they didn't fare that well pre-COVID. See where those prices are; it may be an indication.
Point is, it's a great car and you pay what it's worth to you. But I look at this as enjoyment, not investment...

1. It was a regular 2023 E63 wagon, not a FE, and sold for $236k ($100k over MSRP)
2. A FE that sold for $236k ($60k over MSRP)
3. A FE that sold for $100k over MSRP, which would be $277k
