I looked at an invoice for my 2023 E63S AMG Wagon Final Edition as it's crossed the Panama canal and the dealership was unable to open DV8 package to see what the $55k includes....very frustrating.

Today I canceled my final edition order. I can’t constitute paying 170,000 for a car with no lighting package, no HUD, no massage seats, no carbon ceramics, no rear heated seats, no 3D surround sound system… this list goes on!! Instead I found me a well equipped ‘21. Shame on MB for doing this.
Bought a 2016 BMW bc didn’t love 2018 E body style and no 550s, still currently looking!

i saw a couple too but I can’t believe MB.
Yup, found me a ‘21 with 4k miles. Fully loaded msrp of $144,000. Including carbon ceramics and 3D sound! I think I’ll be happier in it than I would be in a final edition. My salesman wasn’t too happy about my backing out.
Also, I was going to have to pay 20k over, I would’ve had to be legally insane to go through with it…

I actually think the whole final edition thing makes it less attractive anyway, and might even depreciate the car more.

but ppl who know mercedes know this car is not worth it, dealers really messed around with people, this is turning out to be not a Final Edition we’re doing it right, it’s an E63S lite and let’s see how much people will over pay.

$52,000 is final edition with lots of things lumped together

not including taxes/fees etc
and all the cars are the same.
none are what they they said it would be. Some might remember I posted the $226,000 sales deal sheet. I was assured that would be the car I was getting. I didn’t believe them.
it lists the center console that can be used as 2 armrests!
you have to really scroll to see how they list what’s in it, normally some of these things aren’t even listed in standard
The websites are usually just plain wrong. I've been calling on 2023's sitting at dealers here in Canada (non FE) and the sales guy has to go take pics and send them to me because they don't even know what the car has or doesn't have and it does not match what is listed on their websites half the time. For example Dinamica Headliner will be listed on the website in the area you are showing, but on the offer I receive from the salesman it will say "51U - Black Fabric Roof Liner" so I have him go check, sometimes they don't even know the difference and take a pic and send to me..... and yep only black fabric. Same with different carbon bits, they don't seem to know if it includes mirrors or splitter or what by looking at the options even though we all know what they are here on mbworld, then I doubt them and they have to send more pics and yep - no mirrors...
What a joke this whole thing has been. I've never had this much trouble ordering / buying a car. Yes I know this is the FE thread but still, it's a crap shoot even trying to spec/find answers on regular '63s never mind the FE. When the FE arrive and are all the same I'll believe it. I bet they don't even end up all being the same LOL.

All of the special/final editions as of late are a complete joke (C 63, E 63, Edition 55 and more). Don't know what MB was thinking. To think they can strip out desired options, add stickers, badges and king sized markups they must be nuts. A lot of C 63 finale editions and Edition 55s are still sitting on dealer lots. No one even wants to pay retail because it's still a rip off in my opinion.

it’s been a total ****show. And you’re right it’s an absolute joke. So a friend of mine is a car broker but he works with a guy who gets some before dealers. So my post above about $170 came from that and he had pictures he took of it.
I don’t know if I shouldn’t send the pics but he has the car and it looks like all the others - yellow piping, the Final Edition package has most of the options lumped into that. I don’t know, I still don’t trust it. But at least it shows was manufacturing suggests as far a pricing and the only thing kicking it up to $170,000 is the final edition package. Regardless, it looks awful. They removed so much and changed interior. Looks like a regular E sedan pretty much. And no idea why they went with yellow, don’t like it personally

saw the edition 55 and what a joke.
before I saw the E63S pop up I was thinking eh do I do the E55 but reading reviews they all said price is better but if you want the power, more sporty, quicker don’t bother, get an M5 or S5/S6
they are discontinuing the A - bc they weren’t selling, I don’t know how MB didn’t expect that, I’m not shocked at all!
even when they stopped making 550 and replaced with 450

my friend went up to Atlanta to get a Porsche from MotorCars Atlanta and the dealer suggested he buy the Panamera hybrid, drive it for a year, keep under 5000 miles and bring it back and he’ll trade it and sell as if it didn’t depreciate. So strange
he went to Atlanta bc he wanted a turbo from The Collection in south Florida but sales guy said they can’t get it bc there’s a titanium shortage

All marketing, they think they can sell it because it appears(?) more special than the non edition models. They also are banking of people thinking it is a limited production and they buy it for collecting purposes.

Now that you mentioned it, I just don't get why MB dealership sites (or maybe dealership sites in general) list all the options that a modern car usually have as well, airbags (oh wow sooooooo nice to have), A/C (totally, we need that...) I mean, Really????

Thank you! I don’t think I’ll be missing the final edition. Not a very “exclusive” car since there are e53s or even e350s that are equipped much better.
The worst part about this whole Final Edition in the US market is that it's so far behind the European version.
