E53 Coupe One Touch Rear Window Switch Change

HI All:
I've had my 2023 E53 coupe since December 2022. I've come out several times only to find the rear windows open. I figured the one touch up needed to be reset. I tried numerous times with no luck. I finally had a chance to bring it back to the dealer. They told me there is no One Touch Up on the rear widows for Coupes or Convertibles. They only have One Touch Down. They didn't give me a reason other than "they never have." I find it REALLY annoying that a $95K car doesn't have both up and down One Touch.

Does anyone know if the rear switches can be replaced with a set of front switches? Neither the Service Advisor nor the Service Manager at my dealership had the answer and didn't seem overly interested in going out of their way to find out.

TIA

The no cost way would be to hold the lock button on your key fob once you are outside your vehicle and doors are closed. Hold it until all windows are closed, you do the opposite when you want to open them all from the outside, I believe it is called the summer convenience opening/closing feature (might be option dependent but try it out in case your vehicle has it). That way you don't have to go through the hassle of retrofitting the button to the rear assuming it is the switch + programming that needs to be done.

For the summer convenience opening/closing feature, you could also achieve the same with the door handle I believe, you pull like you open the door a notch and hold it there on the keyless go sensor it opens everything and when you remove your hand and only tap the square and hold it there, you lock everything and close everything. This might be option dependent but try it out in case your vehicle has it.

Bonus tip, you don't have to touch the square to lock the vehicle, try tapping anywhere on the outside handle (might be option dependent)

You can ask @BenzNinja if this feature can be coded

Yeah, that's not really the problem. I thought the car had one touch windows, as all my other cars do, and I raised all the windows (I thought) with what I thought was a one touch button before I got out of the car. It wasn't until hours later when I got out of the Theater that I realized the windows were open. It's just a REAL annoyance when you pay for a car like this and they scrimp on adding a 5 cent button on the car. German engineers! They can F up a wet dream!

I mean I get it but there must be a limitation for it, in context the S-Class coupe rear windows are also not one touch up if I recalled correctly.

They said that none of the coupes or convertibles had one touch-up buttons. Something else I just realized. There are NO window switches in the back seat. So anyone sitting back there has to ask the driver to lower their window.

Ya that is normal for those body styles of the vehicle, might have to do with weight savings (probably not) or other limitations.
