When W214 AMG?

Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong section. I was wondering if there are any threads or new forum sections for the upcoming W214 AMG. I found the lack of options on the 2023 Final Edition E63 to be pretty disappointing so am looking forward to the future.

Likely 1 year after the regular w214 has released which is this yr (delivery probably in December 2023 onwards)

in other words, we wont know anything until spring 2024.

Ahh I didn't realize there's that much of a delay. That's disappointing. Does that mean there will be no 2024 model year E63 deliveries until late '24/early '25?

2025 most likely. E63 will lose the V8.

Lol I have super bad news for you chief. No new E63 with a V8, more than likely it will be called an E53. I'm more than likely changing brands or buying something else higher in the lineup next.

haha yeah I’m aware that they’re getting rid of the V8…but fingers crossed that whatever hybrid version comes next will still be a beast. Here’s to hoping.

My understanding is that it's going to be like the neutered CLS53 that just got cancelled, definitely not a beast. Who knows though, miracles happen.

E53 already exists. New car will be called E63.

2025 Mercedes AMG E63s E Performance. I6 with 500lb battery, rear electric motor, 800hp combined. 12 miles electric range.

Just a guess.

That just makes our W213 E63s more desirable in the future haha!!! The last E63S of the V8 powerhouse!!!

The lesser version might be revealed earlier but not sure, if you don't want to wait for the E 63, one thing for sure though, the new E 63 will be heavy, can probably blame it "staying at home" too long, it ate too much. (in all seriousness as you can tell it has to do with the E Performance power train being too heavy.

Will be interesting to hear and see how they reworked the M256 to serve the purpose and the challenge the E 63 will give it, the pistons and all that must be reworked to handle the weight increase, power increase, torque etc. most likely it won't be called a M256 as it will have to be hand-built.

Otherwise German inline-6s are inherently smooth so that is at least a positive thing about the inline 6s.

Oh yeah, this is no lie. My E53's M256 is buttery smooth.

For the ones waiting for a W214 E63....save yourselves some 💰💰💰 and tune a W214 E53 and while driving, just start screaming "Vrooooom....ta ta ta ta ta.."
basically an I6 will NEVER sound the same as a V8.

Well, I guess those who want the tech the W214 brings, the wait might still be worth it, it will be more heavy and the drivetrain will be more complex with the E Performance stuff though.

Very true the W214 will be tech heavy....if I wanted tech heavy I'd get a Lucid.... meanwhile I'm upset the 2023 E63S AMG Wagon no longer comes with the IWC watch. I'll have to be satisfied with the one on my wrist my wife said.

You probably will be satisfied with the one on your wrist, that said, if this makes you feel better, the IWC clock in the 63 S doesn't really have the the actual IWC movement anyways, it is just a faceplate, I think I remember someone taking apart the regular one from the non AMG models and the IWC one, it shares the same electrical components inside.
