The Life and Journey of a 2023 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon

Last time I had the car in for this issue the tech offered to ride along with me when I went to pick up the car, since he couldn't reproduce himself. He spent a good 15 minutes with me trying to show him the noise. At that time we could not get the car to do the squeak again.
Glad it's getting sorted! FYI squeak does not happen in Sport Plus, only Comfort, which is how they isolated the strut. In my case it's only the one side - but being the awesome dealer they are - they offered and are replacing both sides, since the original warranty runs out in a few thousand km's. They don't want to have to deal with ELW in case the other side goes next.
Great service and techs at MB Oakville. Super happy to have them, or I may not bother trying to run an AMG

I was trying to keep 4cyl mode on, coasting, only going 100, it was nerve racking and exhilarating. lol I thought we were going to be really late by running out - also couldn’t risk being late at all so couldn’t stop for fuel either…
I hate running this low because debris in tank etc. oh well - topped up with super just in time!

Either way, you made it in time. So that's good.
With weakening CAD and uncertainty with BoC's rate adjustment soon as well as the gas prices going up, wouldn't be surprised if it hits 200$ per tank, yikes...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

…For the first time ever today the car drank 91.
Only put $20 and am letting it run down to fill with 94
It was at a rest stop and could not be helped.
<shudder>

CPC: Another "busted my output shaft" thread in the 212 section. Reflecting then on another member who had a front diff pinion break. Remembering how many rear ends and twisted axles and drive shafts and U-Joints I pooched drag racing (non Mercedes). Clutches too. Larger and taller 305/285 tires and wider rims this season, changing the gearing putting more load on the drivetrain. Realizing torque limiting in gears 1-3 is probably a good idea. Realizing breaking my car for a dragy run that someone else already beat anyway, pointless.
I guess chasing a tenth or two 0-60 or a few more in the 1/4 mile is (weirdly) just not that important to me anymore in this car. I've been sitting on these parts since 2023, and every time I plan to tune the car something breaks right before.

Vote!
35 series - not a really fair pic since this pic was taken wheels have been widened an inch and there are spacers to flush them out. I gues I need to find an hour to try the new setup for new pics.
30 Series that is 295 and 285 pic courtesy roninamg https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7960294

305/35 and 285/35 Continental ECS02
However if they come back and say I will toast the 4Matic+ and need to be lower difference I will then run for only a 1% difference either:
295/35 and 285/35 Continental ECS02
or
305/30 and 295/30 Michelin PS4
The Michelins will look FAT but get rid of the full wheel well look I like. The Continentals will not run as wide and sporty, but will fill the wheel well and like @bobblehead says save the rims from our crappy roads.

Rears are next, hopefully before the weekend.
It’s been nerve wracking measuring and trying so many wheels and tires and spacers.
This is the absolute max front fitment without mods or rubbing. I bet 295/35 could fit with a heat gun but I didn’t want to start melting stuff for a few more mm.
20x10.5 ET17
285/35
Lowered 40mm
