The Life and Journey of a 2023 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon

Honestly, the wagon had been my favorite car and had lots of fun for the first 4 years.

The 212 had 7yr 160,000 warranty and I used it all right up to 159,999 lol. Sold it before out of pocket got too annoying and jumped into this one.
This 213 car seems to be on par. At least these issues are already documented in the forums and are an easy fix. Many of the 212 issues are not simple.
A new battery may negate all the charging I’ve had to do to stave off gremlins and gives me comfort perhaps it’s caused stuff along the way.
I don’t mind. It’s a flipping fantastic car 99% of the time!

Also battery being replaced in warranty - it failed the tests.
I hope it’s not months this time. Or maybe they’ll let me drive it until the parts come in.
I really want an a S63 or GLS 63 but it seems like buying before MY 2021 is the best road right now? My 19 has had "some" issues, and it is rather annoying that $125K+ vehicles have these type issues honestly. Call me "naive" since this is my first 63 series AMG...but come on.

As you know I had ECC ECU/TCU/CPC/PTG Intake/Dyno booked for tomorrow as a bday present for me.
Thank goodness the turbo didn't give up a week later then it did. Or I'd be SOL for warranty replacing it.
This is the 2nd time I've ditched ECC for car problems. Slav probably thinks I'm just a flake. Oh well.
<sigh>

Engine still running like a champ at almost 160,000 miles..
yes notice the temps. Yes that was ambient. Wind was kicking *** that night.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Agree too much poke. Coincidence I also was looking at Ferrada and after I did my test decided to pass, that look is not for me. Plus it would 100% rub.
They told me that was their size for our car. I disagree

Keep in mind lowered moves the wheels inboard even more then stock so there is less poke in those pics then there would be stock. This is due to the fact the suspension travels in an arc up towards the car. Stock ride height the poke would be even worse.

Dealer still has the car to diagnose an annoying suspension squeak in the rear going slow speed over speed bumps, when the rear whomps down it's super squeaking.

You have the same rear squeak issue as mine (back then) ... for mine, dealer was throwing all kinds of parts at it and I told them it's likely sway bar bushings and they ignored my suggestion for 2-3 tries using their methods ... eventually, they ran out of ideas and advice from MB Germany and decided to replace the whole sway bar with new one (entirety). The noise went away.
No saying yours is indeed sway bar bushings issue but dealer should include their diagnostic with the mentioned.

Also I can now hear a slight PSHEW letting off during high boost situations. I don't remember when that noise "went away" but it's definitely there now! Right on.Stop/Start always works now too, the sign of a healthy battery. I always turn it off now; before I hardly ever had to turn it off since it was never kicking in lol.
So new battery, new divertor valve, life is good!!!
As for the rear suspension squeak: I go over a string of parking lot speed bumps every weekend, same time, so I know 100% the noise just started one day:
Emailed my SA him and the tech listened, and hear the noise. Car will be booked in a week or two when I have time.
Still love my dealer! They rock.
Giddyup!

The video I took helped, as well as the sound happened entering the service door speed bump

Two rear struts ordered.
Yippee!
