I know there is one or more somebodies here that can PM me a MB history on a car I'm looking at - I just can't find them!

You are spending 50k+ on a used car. Spend 50 bucks for carfax and autocheck. Make sure to do both. Some accident history only shows on autocheck and not carfax.
also $200 PPI from local MB dealer is highly recommended.
if you need to check build sheet to check included option, you can use mb dot vin.

Thanks for the suggestions - been burned more than once on Carfax so that's a pass. I've got some history but only ownership and registration. I'm working on getting records for dealer service - hopefully can get a hold of those. I wish it was only $50K!!!

What you are looking for is VMI and only Mercedes dealer can print one out for you. It will show service history at all previous Mercedes dealers. It won't show you anything done at an indy shop or if the owner DYI.

Thank you - has CarFax been a good source of info for you on MBs? I've had crap luck with them, but that has been lower priced cars that "flippers" often don't report to CarFax all that was wrong until sometime after the sale - and some of those were pretty bad...

Yeah it's hit or miss what does & doesn't get reported to carfax/autocheck.. X2 on a vmi from MB. I just recently found an E63 with structural damage on the autocheck & it had a clean carfax. So I make sure to run both now. Not a be all end all by any means but whorthwhile info in their reports for sure .
