W213 E63S Ticking Noise - Fixed
The noise comes from a failed Purge Valve, sits in the driver side of the engine bay right behind the headlight (see picture), the valves can fail but not enough to through a code. What you will hear is a fast ticking noise typically in idle, very annoying for sitting at a light, or talking with some friends outside the car and having it constantly tick. Also, notices the auto start stop function started working again once I replaced the part, not that anyone cares about gas mileage with those cars haha
Part Number: 213-470-69-01-64 (link: https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...e-213470690164) Might be different for other 63 vehicles.
They hit this topic in 2019, it's in the sticky as well, just to add to the discussion here:

the noise will come back, many dealers will just say "normal" and move along
