Hey folks, saw this video get recommended to me and watch the whole thing and can't believe how good this car sounds. It sounds even better than my old W204 C63 AMG P30. System looks insane as well using the Renntech valve modules. What do you all think?

How much of this sound is the downpipes vs the exhaust? It would’ve been useful to hear the sound without DPs. Something tells me it wouldn’t be nearly as noteworthy.

These guys get **** on a lot on the bmw forums by everyone. In my experience you can get the same exhaust off Alibaba for a fraction of the cost. It’s the same exhaust that they have straight from China. Same manufacturer just with their brand slapped on it

I think it probably has a lot to do with the downpipes. As many others have noted, the stock system is fairly straight through. I have an AWE system w/ factory downpipes, and while the piping is a bit lager in diameter than stock, and I think the crossover pipe is a diff style, the sound is similar, albeit deeper.

Still doesn't sound as good as my old ML63 w/ resonator delete. The 5.5 TT had a great sound to it. Definitely lose some depth with the 4.0.

Agree my W212 E63s 5.5 Litre with Resonator and muffler delete sounds better...everyone always says thunderous whenever I drive by lol.

But the W213 E63s platform has a lot more pops I find once you install the DP's. But don't have that V8 thunderous noise like the W212 does.

Has anyone done just the RENNtech mufflers? Anyone know how big of a difference it will make or if its even worth the money?

They seem ridiculously overpriced for just mufflers.

Thanks for liking my car, guys!

I do say, alot of the sick sound is due to my catless Redstar (shielded) downpipes.

I would say that stock PE exhaust is somewhat louder but the valvetronics gave me a much deeper tone, exactly what I was looking for. If i could go back and redo my mods, I would have opted for 200cell downpipes to deepen my tone further.

The AMR stage 2 burble tune also made my car louder, however, I've since reverted back to stage 2 w/o burbles; i still get the crackles but less dramatic, however, the cannon shots and flames are still quite prevalent
