My warranty got canceled
I took my car in for repairs dealer check my ECU and discovered I had tuned the car and canceled my warranty.
I had an extended warranty that had just kicked.
Can I get my money back for the extended warranty ?

Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. Was the failure you tried to have warranteed related to the tune?
there’s enough information out there to help people understand to either detune (by way of cloned orig ecu) before they go to a dealer or not use a dealer that is unfriendly. No dealer in their right mind should be turning away warranty work because of a tune and they shouldn’t even be checking if they are decent human beings. Always check the forums for tune, friendly dealers, and if you cannot find one go to an independent.

All extended warranty programs are proratable for the remainder of un used warranty coverage. However "kicked"?? If your warranty coverage had come to term (the end of the either time or miles of coverage you purchased). Then no, there is nothing for you to receive.

unfortunately it is as the dealer discretion... it is why I say if you are under OEM or extended OEM warranty, do not f with the car as that just gives them ammunition to out right cancel the warranty. Seen it happen in

Audi
MB
Chevy and Ford.
In the end, you mod the car, you are gambling that the warranty work still applies. You could always pay a $250/hr lawyer see if there is anything there to make a case but that requires money (lots) and time.

And the companies that sell tunes will tell you it doesn't affect the warranty. They're quite vocal about it and some even claim the tune is invisible to the dealer. They then get very quiet when it comes to them taking over the warranty if the dealer/manufacturer denies coverage. You tune it, it's yours.
