AMG GT oil separators - check valve

Wanted to share this as this pertains to the ongoing oil separator issues with our engines. Dont know if anybody has come across this but I was watching a Tasos Moschatos video on youtube where he is replacing the coolant thermostat and waterpump on a AMG GT engine (M178 to my knowledge) and he is also replacing the oil separators while the engine is accesible. First I have seen the oil separators as just a part taken off the motor. He mentions and shows there is a check valve on the separators and says that part of the check valve gets sucked into the engine and ends up in the lower part of the oil pan in the oil pickup tube. Although the check valves on the separator he shows in the video appears to be intact (from what I watched he does not explain the reason he is replacing them) This is at around the 6:30 minute mark of the video. Link to video at bottom of post. Can find video by searching "Tasos Moschatos amg gt" on youtube there are two parts he recorded of this. You can see the part with the oil separators in the video titled part 2.

Thank you for supplying this video and your marking the important section. I don’t have this model of engine, but I think many of us who read along in the forums or consider purchasing this model engine in the future are trying to figure out what it is in the separators that has become clogged. This seems to point to a pretty simple explanation in the end. I would wonder what in the new design has changed, do we think it is the material of those valves?

And the m178 doesn't seem to be as affected as the m177, when it comes to OVS and RMS, but we don't know real world numbers

Has a PCV diagram for the M17x engine been posted on this site?

What is the purpose of the 2 orange check valve membranes? They allow condensed oil to return into the crankcase, correct?

The large circular tube is clearly the vapor outlet from the separator to reenter into the induction system.

The flattened/oblong tube is the expelled vapor+oil inlet from the crankcase into the separator, correct?

Has anyone considered this entire problem may be cause by PCV failure on the crankcase fresh air inlet side? In other words, not the separators? Blockage in the crankcase fresh air inlet could cause excessive crankcase vacuum and suck the RMS inward.

A full and complete PCV diagram will clarify this.

For those who have a dipstick, monitor if it is popping out due to crankcase pressure as well.
