2017 E43 AMG - What to Expect in terms of maintenance?
I'm considering purchasing a 2017 E43 AMG 3.0 295kW BiTurbo with 72,000 miles (116,000 km). The car appears to be in quite good condition, but I’m wondering what to expect in terms of maintenance and service at this mileage.
I know that alot depends on previous owners but I am trying to get some insight and knowledge about the car.
All good info and advice is welcomed, thanks ahead!
- Are there any common issues or parts that tend to wear out around this mileage for this specific model?
- What should I be paying extra attention to, especially for long-term reliability?
- Is there anything specific I should check for in the service history of the car?
- Should I expect any major repairs or expenses in the near future?
- What do you think about the engine and transmission? Are they reliable or more problematic?

At this mileage, tranny fluid change, spark plugs change, coils change (preferably), belts change, age of battery (oem battery doesn’t last 5 yrs), filters change and brake fluid and oil change (obviously)

You may want to find out ahead the full replacement costs for oem brakes (rotors and pads). They can be pricey. If you are okay, then pretty much you now know what you are dealing with.

If the car has not done any oil change in the last while, maybe u should do an oil analysis (if possible). Not sure if seller will accommodate your request though. At the minimum, see if you can pay for an oil change and ask the mechanic to see if there are any sizeable metals present in the oil filter. After all, it’s 8 yrs old car.
also make sure no sign of any fluid leaks
