2019 E63s AMR Tune

After some revisions the AMR 91 octane tune is not as fast as the Dyno Comp 91 octane tune. However, the AMR tune has giving me quite a bit more in other regards.
The best the Dyno Comp 91 octane tune was below.
The best the AMR 91 Octane tune is below.
The AMR tune is calmer out of the hole which nets a faster sixty foot and 0 to 60 mph. They both run almost identical 1/8 mile times, and then the Dyno Comp tune runs a bigger MPH out the back end.
So I will call this a draw. With less than a tenth difference I am splitting hairs. AMR isn't as aggressive in their tuning in the beginning of the run. This helps the car go faster because traction is better, it probably save some wear and tear on rotational parts. It also makes the launch a lot more manageable.
However, the AMR tune drives better, keeps the back of my car cleaner, and makes my garage stink less. Also the AMR tune allows me to datalog, and they are about to release switchable tuning.
So for now....AMR for the win.
Stay tuned for the E30 data.........

This is the best I have run with the E30.
Yeah.....
That was with pretty crappy DA, and not on my regular test strip. With better DA, I bet I could get another tenth out of it. However, I am out of turbo, and it isn't the cards right now to upgrade. Probably throw a drag radial on it and let it eat.
I feel the same about the E30 tune like I do about the 91 octane tune. It rips, and drives so good. AMR has really done a great job.
enjoy, and are you stage 2?
At the 1/8th both tunes are 101ish
Then at the top end the AMR just goes away. If you get the top end back you'll be mid 10 on 91.

enjoy, and are you stage 2?

The Dyno Comp 91 tune ran 129 out the back door. However the 60 ft was a 1.78. ET and MPH have direct correlation. If the car leaves harder, it will have less time to generate MPH. Same as the inverse, if the car spins it gains more time to generate MPH. Slower ET, but faster MPH.
The AMR E30 tune went a 127 out the back door. However the 60 ft was a 1.62. The car had less time to generate MPH. Faster ET, but slower MPH. Obviously the AMR tune, isn't making the same power that the Dyno Comp tune is. However, in the grand scheme of things, that isnt a bad thing. To go faster with less power is a win in my book. Less stress on the drive components, usually less peak cylinder pressure, ect....
The best 60 to 130 time for the Dyno Comp Tune was 7.90. The best 60 to 130 time for the AMR Tune is 8.26. So it would seem that AMR isn't ringing the 4 liter's neck like Dyno Comp is.
The Dyno Comp tune is great, if you are looking for all out power. I got to see the logs, but I didn't get to dissect them. I would venture to say the Dyno Comp tune was a bit more liberal with timing across the rpm range. That would contribute to the massive amount of tq early in the rpm range, and the faster 60 to 130 time.
Both AMR tunes are more refined and less clunky. Being able to review the data logs from AMR are a game changer as well. And to go faster in the 1/4 mile with less is actually pretty cool.
