Start up noise
I am noticing a noise similar to lifters tapping on cold start, but it isn't the lifters. That is closest way I can describe it. It disappears after a few seconds and only returns when the car has been sitting an hour or so.
Is anybody else with this engine experience anything similar?

The noise can be embarrassing coming from a car like this, but if it is normal I can live with it.

Thank you I read the bulletin you posted, after reading it this makes sense. How can I find my engine number to see if it is within the range of affected engines?

That's true it difficult to diagnose it from someone who knows
I saw the pdf file with parts that fix this problem but does these parts require engine to be removed ?

Thanks to mb techman for posting the bulletin. My dealer replaced the tensioners and check valves. No more start up noise. 2012 owners, I would recommend seeing if your engine number falls within the range for affected engines.
