Thanks Luke and the Tirerack Team!

I had my Blizzak LM25 mounted and we're expecting snow tomorrow, so talk about perfect timing. Thanks for taking care of the order.

I took the car out for a spin just now (I need to clean up the cadaver for gross anatomy lab). I don't feel much difference between the stock Contis and the LM25, cornering capability is about the same. I will take them on to the highway after finals and give them a more thorough test.

Got up early today and it was snowy out so decided to take the beast out for some snow runs (before the snow gets all ****ty and slushy). Took the beast out to I-90W for some early spirited driving and I must say the Bridgestone Blizzaks LM25 are better than my expectation. I can cruise at 80mph and still get good maneuverability to overtake slower cars. It is also quiet for a set of winter tires, better than my Pirelli P Zero Nero that I had on my W203. The drive in the city is also awesome. It feels like my wheels of car is planted onto the road. Slight uphill start, no problem with getting traction to the rear wheels, just need to put it in C mode and be easy and slow on the throttle. Of course you can't do sudden moves in the snow, it would get you no where or in 180s quick. But all in all, the LM25 performance exceeded my expectation.

There's one more thing about the Blizzaks LM25, the side wall actually sticks out further than the stock Contis in the exact same size. I actually like this design better because it offers little protection to my rims (already slight curbed my rear rims, damn downtown Boston roads are narrow )

Thanks again Luke and the TR team, will come back for the Goodyear Eagle F1 when April comes (HRE Comp C20 19" baby )

I'll second the Blizzaks....

Had 8"+ in Chicago last night. Roads were semi-plowed. With the Blizzaks I had no problems at all -- if you start out with a feather foot on the throttle. Normal driving had me spinning. Interestingly, I saw two MBs (e500 and S500) stuck in middle of road spinning tires -- must have summers on.

Other interesting point - my drive was unplowed and its about 200 feet long. NO problem getting through the 8-10" on drive. But when I got out and looked back, I saw two tire tracks and a shallower track right down the middle == maybe the differential dragging? What will happen in really deep snow - 2 feet - will the car just hang up?

ok ... now we know why it is better to CALL LUKE DIRECTLY when placing your order

you have now been reprimanded .... on to the subject at hand

.... I have the CS team tracking it down at this time and if they do not find it we are going to reship the 1 wheel and tire FedEx 2 day at the end of the day ... but, your shipment was sent from Reno and that is 5-7 days shipping time and today is day #7

I have to agree that the winter tires made all the difference in the driving experience. I have much confidence with my beast on snow tires and I actually feel safe driving in it.
