JamE55,

Nice rims. Is that on your 55? Do you have a pic of the full car?

That looks like 540R in 19". But one thing i dont get is, why does the brake say Renntech on one pic, and the other pic in the E55 section shows it's a Brembo. Anyways how much did the wheels tires and brakes cost?

Tezta, I was wondering the same thing, lol . He has Brembo's in the front and Renntechs in the rear. James, just curious, how come you didn't get Renntech's all around?

Bridgestone Potenza SO-3's 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears. Grips like hell on the road! I might be showcasing this car at the Neowerkes Aug 11 if you wanna check it out i'll be there.

Let me tell you something about these wheels. These are the HRE540 RDC's (reverse drop center) which are specifically made for Porsches and Ferrari's only. So that being said having these wheels on my car i'm the very first in the country to have this application for my Mercedes Benz! Yes the front's i'm using Brembo GT 355mm kit and the rears are Renntech by Brembo. Reason why i didn't go with Renntech all around is because of cost. You ask how much this cost. Well i've mortage my house and now i'm living inside my car! LOL j/k Let's just say it's too much!

LOL. But seriously its money well spent. Those 540R's are so phat i don't know what to do with myself. I just checked out the Renntech site, actually Brembo makes the brakes for Renntech so its no different anyway. Does the ride feel smoother now?

Thanks! That's true that Brembo makes them for Renntech. Just had to have them to balance out the look for the front and the rear. The ride is freakin awsome! Did i mention i'm using a Full Kleemann Speed Sensitive Suspension for shocks and the springs are also kleemann. veyy happy with them. Wait for Phase II!?!? ...

James, i'm thinking about getting the Kleemann Speed Sensitive Suspension on my C32 when it comes... what do you think about it? Better than expected? Were you able to test drive a vehicle with the Kleemann suspension before you decided? What made you decide?

Thanks

JamE55, the wheel offset calculator report this as difference between stock E55 rear wheel and your new HRE's:

REAR:
"The clearance from strut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 13mm LESS.
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 13mm."

With those figures in mind - would a rear tire sizes of 285/30/19 fit on a 9.5 width rear? This tire is only adding 5mm of width to each side of the tire.

The heights are:

275/35/18 - 25.6"
275/30/19 - 25.5"
285/30/19 - 25.7"

Kleemann Speed Sensitive suspension is definitely freakin awsome!! Would highly recommend them over stock. And yes better than expected! I actually rode in CLK 69's car which had them and was surprise as to how the ride is. Not too stiff but just right. It's really hard to explain but here's what i would recomend if you know of someone who has them in your area test ride in it and see how it feels! Words cannot explain how awsome these rides!

If you're running 19x9.5 rear and want to run 285/30/19 it will work however would not recomend it just because it's stretching it out too far. Go with the 19x10 for the rears. I was hoping to do a 285/30/19 rears but when all said and done on my 275/30/19 it looks just about right. Totally flushed to the fenders not sticking out and the look is very agressive. Just what me and Peter @ Wheelsexperts figure!

I'm tellin you pics doesn't do justice for this car! You really have to see this car in person to appreciate it!

This is what happens when you get your Wheels @ Wheelsexperts.com!! Right Pete!

JamE55, It is amazing how it is possible to upgrade from a 9" to a 10" wide rim on back but it is difficult to add just 10mm to the 275 tire width on a 9 or 9.5 inch rim.

the WIDTH is not the problem
