Baby needs new shoes...
Has anyone tried the new Yokohama AVS Sports?? I've tried Pilot Sports ( not on this car) and Pilot MXX3's and was told that the Yokos are hot and perhaps marginally better than SO3s. Opinions?

2001 E430 "Kleemannized"
Be sure and take a look at the Toyo Proxes T1-S. Best shoes for me yet. I've gone through the stock Goodyear's, Dunlop Sport 9000, Michellin Pilot Sports, and now have the T1-S' and can not believe the difference.

If you care for stickyness, road noise, decent thread life, and the best bang for the buck, i'd take a look at the Kuhmos (or how eevr it spells). i've had two sets of those on another car and they were incredible. ECSTA 712 is the model. Don't know what size you are looking for but I used to pay 124.00 for 275-35-17

Southern Gent, what does that Kleemann tag on the air box say? Did the Kleemann kit come with a different air box and filter? Thanks.
Kleemann is now recommending Toyo tires. Probably because of some sort of sponsorship caliberation or advertising deal.

The Kleemann Tag shows what spark plugs (cooler plugs)(and the only non standard part), oil amount, coolant, etc... Like I said the only non-MB stock part is a different spark plug.
The air box is the same although they did a little modification on the front side to allow more airflow.

I've never tried any tire other than: Pirelli 7000's, Michelin MXX3, Dunlop SP9000, Yokohama Parada, and Yokohama AVS-sports. Id have to say that the Yokohama AVS were by far the best tires i've ever ridden on, so smooth, so quiet, and pretty good response. Too bad i never rode on any bridgestone tires, but for the price, i think the S-03's are going to be on my next ride.
