New AMG 18s for my CLK
Could someone tell me if I'll need spacers to mount these AMG 5-spoke 230 http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...Standard+Model
on my 2001 CLK 55. The offset 33mm rear and 30mm front seems correct so I was assuming that they could be hubcentric. Also, will I be able to run 225/40 PS2s on the front wheels without problems? I was thinking 8.5 seemed a little wide for 225 and tirerack even recommends 255/40 for an SL-class but that's obviously not going to work on a CLK. I was hoping I could use the tires that I've already got: 2 225s and 2 265s, otherwise I would want to run 235 in the front and 275 in the rear. My last set of monoblock VI replica 18s required spacers in the front and lugs shorter than stock for the rear, could those same pieces potentially work for these new wheels?

Those R230 rims will fit a W208. If you 'make' them fit you will also need special lug bolts because the R320 uses 14mm bolts and your W208 needs 12mm. All AMG rims are Mercedes hub-centric.
I would look for the same rims in the CLK sizes of 18x7.5 et37 and 18x8.5 et34.

Ah thanks for the information. The wheels should be here today but now I'm getting worried about the width. I know 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 would be the ideal size for the W208 but I got a really good deal on the 8.5 and 9.5 I'm hoping that I don't have too much lip and not enough rubber up front running 225 tires on 8.5 wide wheels. Sucks about the lug bolts, I suppose my only option here is the stealership..
Or would they even carry the bolts that I'll need?

The rims are here and I just tried to mount 1 front and 1 rear before actually mounting tires all around. I wish I would've checked back sooner, I actually have what I believe to be 10 'hybrid' bolts that had been used to mount the rear 18" monoblock VI style wheels that were on the car when I purchased it (it also came with the factory 17" which I currently use) and I believe that those bolts worked as they seem to fit the rim snuggly to the rear hub. So I tried mounting the front wheel using the bolts that I use on the 17s and of course they were too long and did not fit the wheel snuggly. I just assumed that I could use the spacers that had been used to mount the front 18" VIs. I should have double checked to make sure that the spacers would do the job before putting the 17" back on. Crud, anyway I'm taking them to have the tires mounted to the new 18s and hopefully the spacers will work. Am I correct in thinking that having those spacers on there will allow those wheels to be secured or could it just seem secure and I'd still be running a risk of my wheel falling off down the road?

Okay, now I know EXACTLY what bolts you are talking about. I only had the 10 from my old 18s so I went ahead and put the rear wheels on and I'll be going to get the other 10 bolts for the front asap. The spacer idea was dumb and I'd prefer to do things the right way the first time anyway. Thank you Holson and Kev for your help. BTW, looking at the new rear wheels and 265 ps2s I'm so happy. The stance from behind looks 10 times better now and some kid in a SRT-4 Neon passed me and started throwing revs at me while I was on my way home, I couldn't help but to laugh and say to myself "I know right?"

Oh, 1 more noob question. Shouldn't I be running slightly higher tire pressure all around than what is posted on the inside gas cover since my wheels are an inch bigger than the factory wheels?
