So when I drive these tires on wet road the left wheels will properly direct the water away from the car while the right wheels will direct the water towards the car. Is this even safe to drive on rainy days? With the current high unemployment rate you would think Tirerack can afford to hire someone qualified to the job right. Thanks for the aggravation Tirerack.
The Sumitomo HTR+ radial’s all-season tread compound is molded into a pattern that blends performance with year-round traction. Independent shoulder and intermediate tread blocks enhance dry cornering and stability, while the tread's four, wide circumferential and curvilinear grooves combine to enhance wet traction and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The HTR+ radial’s “Reverse Pattern Siping” adds strategically located biting edges in the tread pattern to increase light snow traction.
The HTR+ utilizes a symetrical tread pattern which is designed to roll in any direction and can be installed on either side of the car, run at any wheel position, and are not required to be run directionally.
