2003 SL-500 on order
I think if you want some really HOT wheels, wait a bit for the new Carlsson
1/16 Ultra light. Forged not cast for a stronger lighter wheel. High polish finish, plus 19's would look awsome especially on a magma red CLK, As soon as Luke gets em in, Im ordering a set of 20's for my new SL

Primarily, just for me. My car is going to be used in shows, but my opinion is what counts the most to me. As for racing, I'd like light wheels for the HP benefits. The way I figure, if I'm going to do it once, I'm going to do it right.

JtSL500:
I can't decide whether those would look good on a CLK, especially mine. I like the look on the SL, but they're two totally different looking cars. It is a possibility though. It would help if I could see a real picture oof them on a CLK, rather than just the wheel machine.

My BBS LMs are going on today. Pictures will be posted. Kleeman Shocks and springs, roof lid and trunk lip, MKB muffler come in next week... really looking forward to trying those shocks. Then, off to the dyno center.

I like the BBS LMs or Carlsson 2/5 or 2/6 Brilliants for silver wheels.

Have you looked at the OZ Superleggera III?

How about some forged and light Fikse FM/10.

Too true about the floating feeling- where else can you get a 19 inch good looking wheel that weighs around 23 lbs.

Light wheels

Multi-piece wheels are usually heavier than single piece.

For sub 23lbs in 19" you probably have to go to Fikse and chose the FM5 which is lightest on the Fikse line.

I am considering the Fikse FM5 in 18" but since Fikse will be coming with some newer models, I am going to wait .

SSRs are light and more affordable. RennTech forgeds are light but pricy.

I might consider BBS CH if they come with a staggered set-up in 18" (unfortunately they don't).
