Big Brake Kits

I am looking at putting new brakes onto my C coupe and CLK. I am either looking at putting on the brembo GT kit or getting the Kleeman brakes for the cars.

For the C Brembo has these two choices available. Can someone tell me which of these two is the better (stronger) choice. Are the drilled and slotted rotors so much better than just slotted ones that they are just as strong but smaller?

355x32 2-Piece Slotted
332x32 2-Piece Drilled and Slotted or Kleemann 330 x 32mm Are the Kleemann brakes different than the Brembos at all?

Also how much of a differnece in braking is there between just huge front brakes and putting on the entire Kleemann system:
Front: 380 x 32mm
Rear:320 x 32mm

Does anyone else offer big brakes all around for the C?

If you are looking for extrem brakes, go for KLEEMANN steg II.
If it's normal day sporty driving the steg 1 Will do great.
It's not exactly 55 K power you are looking at here, but great brakes are something else.

I want the brakes more for the safety of it than anything else.

I would deffintely go with the Kleemann all around but the 8900 is a bit much especially for the C-coupe. I do love those purple calipers though

Sorry, they are not purple any more, they come in black with silver KLEEMANN and red logo <.

I drive my self 330x 32 in my E 270 T CDI, and you are right it will be enough for the coupé, for your C 320, remember 380 mm will require 19" minimum.

No more purple, purple has been gone for a very long time.
( I might have a few set's 330x32 left ).

I don't know the different between Brembo GT and KLEEMANN, I have never seen or tested a Brembo GT kit.

Lucas- thanks for the help.

I was recently in a situation on the highway where some idiot decided to make a U turn from the left lane with a few cars behind him passing a guy. I was at the end of the line of cars in the left lane, and next thing I know the guy in front of me swerved off the road. I saw the cars in front of him at a dead stop (I think they slammed into eachother) I tried to break, but the stock breaks on my c-coupe woudn't stop from that speed in that distance. I tried to go into the right lane but there was a semi coming up quick. I tried once again to break, but unfortunately there was no chance of it. I decided to try and get in front of the truck in the right lane, by down shifting, I narrowly missed getting hit by a semi and slamming into the rear of a few cars.

I was hoping to do brakes eventually on my car. After this recent occurence I am looking at what kind I want and hopefully I can get a set soon. If you still have any of the 330x32's with the purple calipers how much would they run to get?

Thanks again for the help- Seth

Thats always a scary thing not to be able to break.

With the pricing, you have to run that over with KLEEMANN USA, I just know some purple sets are in stock.

I don't like the black caliper on kleemanns brake kit..its a massive kit no doubt but people should be proud to showoff their big brake kit without having to tell others to "look close, Its not stock, its says kleemann on it"

So that brings me to my next question, can the kleemann brakes be custom painted while still retaining the kleemann logo?
