Stepped lip 19" wheels and 8 piston 380mm caliper fitment
Hello everybody,
Just have a quick question that i hope some of you can answer. I know that quite a few of you on here run aftermarket wheels with the front 8 piston 380mm brake setup. I have a set of 19" Work wheels and am not able to test fit before buying so some advice would be appreciated.
I would like to know who is running a stepped lip 19" wheel up front with these brakes. A stepped lip 19" wheel makes it an 18" face and would like to know how the clearance is inside the wheel to the calipers.

depends on the weather
380mm = 14.96"
radius = 7.48"
19" stepped lip wheel inner diameter = approx. 16.5" - 17" at drop center
add caliper = doesn't fit
many 19's without a stepped lip won't even fit
not even close

definitely dont want a 20" wheel.
my other option is an 8 piston front caliper with 356mm rotor which would give me another inch of clearance unless the 8 piston is too big than a 6 is next in line.

19's without the stepped lip could possibly work .... but, the real question is why do you need massive 15" rotors and 6 or 8 piston calipers ...
if you want to post a link to profile for the brake kit you are looking at I could look into it a bit further

Need to upgrade wheels
hey folks it's time to upgrade my wheels. I have a 2006 500 clk okay with stock 17 inch wheels I wanna move up to 19 inch wheels and I like the dub dirty dogs. what do I need to do to upgrade wheels to keep them from rubbing. Help!
