New Rims for my 2000 S500... what do you think? will they fit?

I have a black 2000 s500 (no amg bodykit/wheels.) I am going to purchase some brabus monoblock vi's for it. They are going to be chrome and staggered (19x8.5 in the front, 19x9.5 in the rear). The offset is ET38. Does anyone know if this will fit comfortably? I was told this is the perfect size for the 2000 S.

In addition, what do you guys think about the wheel choice? I think the black s-class needs chrome rims, so that's why I'm going with chrome. 18's look too small in chrome, and I didnt want to get the same old 18's everyone else has. 20's would be too harsh of a ride, so I decided on 19's. I think the rim style is a nice one because it is very "benzy." I am going with the benz caps instead of the brabus caps because I want them to look like Benz wheels.

1-will they fit?
2-what do you guys think of the wheel choice?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

PS - if anyone has a pic of a black one with chrome 19's, please let me know.

Why would you think they don't fit if they came from a big Mercedes Tuner like Brabus? Very hard to **** up a Brabus fitment - all they make is Mercedes stuff. Hopefully you are buying from a dealer and not second hand or used. Should look great and black is best color for chrome. It will be a little harsher ride. Good Luck.

I believe that the rims are brabus type, not authentic brabus. I am buying through an online store that has some very good feedback.

Should I be concerned? I'm worried that the rears (275's) might be a bit too wide... and will the ride be better with 255's all around compared to 245 in the front and 275 in the back?

The choice is yours on whether to go same size all around or staggered. The recommended tire size at Tire Rack is:

245/40/19
285/35/19 rear

Probably a little more comfort with the 255/35/19 all around.

Really? If it does improve the ride with 255's all the way around in comparison to 245/275, then i might just go with the non-staggered... but i love the staggered look.

depends on the weather
the 245/275 would be mor comfortable since the tire would be 26.7" tall and the 255/35-19 is only 26.0" tall

go with the stagger

thanks for the feedback... im still leaning towards the staggered ones... but luke, i have a quick question for you... are 245/35/19 in the front and 275/40/19 in the rear too big? I want the best ride possible, and dont want it to look ugly with the wheels/tires sticking out (8.5" front, 9.5 rear)... is et38 offset what i should be looking for? THANKS

dude.... 20 inch on an s-class isnt too harsh on the ride. the air suspension takes care of that.... have you even been in a car with 20s on before?
