CLK W209 with 19in
Question - what size and brand tires should I run if I do not want them to rub at all when I put in lowering springs? Should I go conservative and put 235/35 front and 255/30 rear? Or will 235/35 front and 265/30 rear be fine? TIA!
Harris - thanks. But what about rubbing once I lower the car? That's what I'm primarily concerend about.
1) What tire are you going to use. Some tires are more sqaured than others, 265 on a S-03 is not the same as 265 on a T1-S.
2) If yours is a 320 or 500, there is a good chance that you have to roll the fenders.
3) What are you going to lower with? You might be able to get away with it if you just lower it with a set of Eibach springs (or something dont lower that much).

I dont think thats possible..not for this guy.
Harris - thanks, I realize tires come in different "shapes". I'm running 235/35 265/30 Toyo Proxes on my E46 and had to roll my fenders as much as possible. Just don't want to do this to the CLK if it's possible at all. Which is why I thought about running 255/35 at the back, stretch the tire a lil bit

But I guess this doesn't matter now, cuz the damn seller backed out on me this morning. I'll just have to wait until another good deal comes around. Thanks anyway
heh? Meaning?

What kind of a deal were you having before? Shoot me an e-mail if you're interested in brand new ones.

Brand new ones cost about twice as much here. Thanks again but shipping woulda killed the deal anyway
