Wink 04 E500 BRABUS 18" or 19". Please HELP!!

Hi everyone, I have a 04 E500 and right now I have the appearance package sports wheels. I am planning to upgrade them to Brabus Monoblock VI Multipiece. I am not lowering the car. I was wondering what you professionals out there recommend. I asked Brabus North America and they said i have two options, either 18" all around or 19" staggered.. What do you think is best for the car. My main concern is that I do want to retain a comfortable ride. I know it will feel the road more, but that is because I am losing side wall... Any suggestions? 18" or 19"

I dont understand why Brabus NA would recommend you to get 18" all around or 19" staggered? Why not 18" staggered? But anyways, I think 18's are too small for a W211, if you want to LOOK good, you should get 19's.

I dont think the ride difference between 18's and 19's are THAT significant. Obviously, there is a difference, but I dont think its night and day.

Talking 19"

Just sold a set of Brabus VI-2.

Brabus is heavy but sure look awsome. The only difference in your case will be the weight difference between 18" and 19". We are not professional racers, so you shouldn't feel it for the daily driving.

Plus, if you are NOT going to lower your car, 19" will look much better. I have both 18" and 19". You can e-mail me if you are interested in taking a set.

Can you try to THINK before making comments or trying to sell ppl something??? Do you have any idea how strange the car will look like if one were to get a set of 19" wheels and NOT lower it???

I am sorry but I have to use this as a reference: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=43266 I know thats a W203, but W211 isnt much lower than that.

And please DO NOT solicit business anymore if you are NOT a sponsor (I'm assuming you arent).

Brabus VI

I was thinking to go staggered 19" and just put my airmatic to sport 2 setting.. I really don't want to lower my car. So u guys think it will be fine since sport 2 lowers it about 15-18 mm.

It will still have that "lifted" look... 15-18mm isn't much...

Thumbs up

if you are getting the real brabus', i personally don't think they look awkward at all w/o lowering (which i was worried about before i got them) they look just fine imo... i can post some pictures of my car when i get a chance to (i had the 19" staggarred on an e320 w/o airmatic suspension)

I would go for the 18 inches. They look fine, are less expensive and are the good balance for confort/performance.
