Andrew, I've been in contact with Omar. His paypal account is currently locked because I started that paypal dispute so I had to end that (He got a $30 fine as well). Now paypal is asking him to verify his address (he has shown me a print screen and it is true). They said that they will mail directions on how to get his paypal working again. He said he will call paypal today and see if he can get his account working without the whole letter things or otherwise we have to wait till that gets there. He said he will send the $1200 once it gets working. Hopefully this will end soon.

Thanks Mike for the post about the police station. I don't think this will have to go that far though as Omar is working with me on getting the money back.

By ending the dispute with PayPal, they will be useless now if he doesn't return your money.
Go ahead and file the dispute with your credit card company, they will charge back to PayPal and credit your account. Let PayPal work to get their money back from him......
You only have 60 Days from the original transaction, and then you will just be out.

I agree with ELBMAN....just deal with your cc company and let them, Paypal, and OJ deal with it from now on. You'll have your $$ back and in the market for some new wheels again.

Hey uhhh, well i think we have the wrong work address, I mean, where he "suppossedly" works is right down the street from my office, I went to get gas there the other day, no OJ. Dude, he's a douche, we have known this for a while.

Wow....I just started reading this thread. I wish I read it sooner to help Shake out. As someone pointed out once you tell paypal that you are working out they totally get rid of the dispute and will not reopen the case. I had a problem with them in the past and that is the BS they pulled. Your only recourse now is to dispute the charge with your credit card company (paypal really hates that). After my mess, they promptly closed my paypal account because I refused to get $crewed. Good luck and hopefully this questionable character lives up to his word and you get your money back.

He said that he called paypal about confirming his address and they said that it would be a couple more days till he recieved the letter. I think it would be fair to give him that much time.

He could put a credit card on file and if the billing address is the home address.......it confirms it and your Paypal is good to go.
Here is the thing........
He had to pay you in two different installments, which means the money was/is not sitting in his paypal account. (if it was he would be able to pay you at once) So what does his locked account have to do with your $$? He obviously needed to put the funds together to get all $1200.
So he could just be stalling for more time to get your money.....(which at the end of the day isn't that bad)
I've just never seen a seller with a history of so many issues after collecting funds.

Mannn I cant believe all of thiss!!! I purchased my wheels the same way but i went & picked them up at the place i think it was in coral gables, miami.. they are Hre's also & I'm from venezuela jajajajaja sounds similar!!!!

Call the police holmes. He's only 19 I believe, you can ruin all chance of him establishing himself professionally for the felony he committed. At least take that kind of pleasure from it all. In the end, he loses. Big time. Get the polic involved, get the name of the detective on it, and follow up weekly or semi-monthly until its over.

cant we just skip the assumption(since its now fact) that this kid is a deadbeat? i mean, shake, just stop being nice and do what you need to in order to get your money. He screwed you over, so forget about it and do what is necessary to end this for you. Who cares how it works out for him, he has had over a month from what I hear, dude, he can stand on the corner of 72nd and 36th here and made your money in that time selling water!
