***** FRAUD ALERT *****

Here are my wheels:

https://mbworld.org/forums/wheels-tires/242812-sale-brand-new-19-amg-wheels-tires.html

Here are the thief's .... who obviously came here and stole my picture.... together with my garage flooring and baby diaper trash can on the right hand side of the pic!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...248127656&rd=1

Un-freaking-believable!

Looks like some SCUM BAG called "tedwood0878" has stolen my pictures and posted a sale on ebay!! ....I wish I could lay my hands (or fists) on this absolute douche bag!

"theboogers" who posts on here alerted me.... Or maybe he is the guy who did it

Man - it's like there are con artists and thieves at every corner.....

I mean HOW can this crap acutally happen? How can people rip people off so easily right on ebay. There's even a "winning bidder"! Gulp! Wonder where he'll get his wheels from.

On another note, some idiot by the name of "Allen Davis" from Myrtle Beach, SC with a Russian/Iranian accent has been trying for the last 2 weeks to get me to sell him my wheels by........ mailing them COD! He's then supposed to give the UPS delivery guy a cashier's check! Yeah right.

I wonder if this is all related

at the very least, they were lazy and used your pic. at worst, it's pure scam
through and through. did you consider emailing the winning bidder?

You think?!

How about the complete STEALING of my ad ..... like:

I have a Brand New Set of 19" OEM Mercedes Benz AMG Wheels And Tires Set. They only have 24 miles on the tires & wheels. These are the original factory AMG Rims. I had them replaced 4 days after I purchased my new 2008 S550.

- 19" AMG 5-spoke light alloy wheel. Staggered width: 8.5 ET43" front, 9.5 ET43" rear.

- Continental "SportContact2" tires: 255/40 R19 - front, 275/40 R19 - rear

Not sure if there is a way to do it. Also, I'm not sure I want to get involved in this crap. Don't have the time for scum bags

i see. hadn't compared the wording. just thought that if the winning bidder was
on the up n up, you may be able to help save them from a painful experience

i have used the cod to sell my intake to someone on this board. after they have the check cut call the bank they used and have them verify the check was cut and is good, than have him email or fax you a copy of the check. if he does all this and it is all on the up and up than i really dont think they would scam you. but now a days you never know.

Certainly has the same M.O. as the scammer that was outed in the w211 AMG forum on here. I would e-mail the winning bidder to at least warn him to be careful.

If he can't afford a credit card to use via Paypal or Google checkout then forget him and go on to the next buyer.

Well, I thought about the same thing too (Allen Davis dude) - but he could then deposit the check back into his account after sending me the photo copy!

Then what.

It's probably the first thing a crook would think of doing.

wow, that's really ballsy. 0 feedback, so you know the scammer just created the ebay account and will most likely close it as soon as he gets a payment

And .... ANOTHER ONE:

Looks like another low life weasel (or the same one) has stolen my pic and is trying to scam on the SF/Bay area craigslist.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/713611698.html

Didn't know that one innocuous ad by me would result in a bunch of circling vultures....

Actually, it's kind of funny..... I have the wheels, but everyone else is posting fake ads for them...... I wonder who really loses here.

A sign of the times...

Sigh.

no if it is in your name and a bank check there is nothing he can do with it. he has already paid the bank the money. if you had a copy of the check it shows intent to pay and if he than send you a bad check it is super easy to go after him. guys you never know people do have ****y times or they are just old fashined about the things they do. before i sold my renntech intake i was scared he would do the same and just stiff me.

So much for ebay giving a sh*t about reporting the fraud! As of today, 6/15/2008 the ad it still there (although bidding has ended)!

It's like these credit card companies sending you preapproved credit apps. in the mail even though it's been well documented that a huge proportion of cc theft and ID fraud it committed using them.........

It's almost like these companies WANT the fraud to happen. I really do believe that.

AMAZING! The f--kin fraud continues and ebay keeps turning a blind eye. I just don't know HOW this ***** happens! The auction expired last week and now it has 2 more days left!! It's like he's extending it??? I didn't know you could do that
