Every AMG Wheel is designed and manufactured for drivers who expect the ultimate performance wheels on their Mercedes-Benz. Tire Information:
The Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 is Michelin's Max Performance tire developed for the drivers of the world's ultra high performance sports cars. Pilot SX MXX3 tires were designed to provide a performance level similar to racing slicks with rain grooves cut into them by offering progressive handling, responsiveness and traction on dry roads with ample traction on wet roads.

Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 molds Michelin's Advanced Technology tread compound into a symmetric straight rib-type tread design featuring wide circumferential grooves and angled shoulder grooves to channel water to increase hydroplaning resistance. The uninterrupted center ribs reduce tire noise on dry roads while they sharpen steering response and provide communicative road feel. The tire's structure includes two belts made of high-tensile, lightweight steel cords which are further reinforced by size-optimized, spirally wrapped nylon cord utilizing Michelin's BAZ (Banded At Zero) Technology to improve steering response and resist distortion while they enhance ride quality and high-speed durability. Rayon cord reinforced sidewalls promote fast steering response and powerful cornering, while Michelin's cable beads help maintain the shape of a running tire for better tire/wheel uniformity.

Thanks nikrox & steve S,

It’s been my experience that the 17” AMG Aero II Monoblock Wheels are becoming rarer by the day. As these wheels have less than 45K miles on them and as the tires have been replaced, I was initially going to have the clear coat on the machined lips touched up on a wheel or two by a specialist locally and put this set away for safe keeping, but as I currently have two sets of 18” BRABUS wheels (18” BRABUS Monoblock VI’s & 18” BRABUS Monoblock IV’s 3 Piece), and another stock MB set of wheels for winter, and unfortunately only two W202’s to drive , it looks like the 17” AMG Aero II Monoblock Wheels would end up in storage either way. Storing them in an attic is a disgrace in my opinion , so I thought I would offer them out there to the community. The VW enthusiasts have been snatching the AMG Aero II Monoblock Wheels up like wildfire , which may explain why we’re seeing less of these popping up on the forums, but to me these belong on a Mercedes-Benz!

Thanks again for the consideration,

TJMJR
