It’s never easy after an accident to figure out what to do with your pride and joy. You really don’t want to scrap the car — that’s just heartless, but at the same time, you can’t use it. So what do you do? How do you ensure that your car lives a happier life after it’s been hurt?

You make it an organ donor.

So it technically doesn’t have flesh-and-blood organs, at least if you leave out the leather seats, but you can start parting out the car to ensure that others who need parts last longer on the road. It’s essentially the same format as human organ donation, except this is for cash.

It’s sad to say one of our very own had to make the decision to part out his car after an accident. Forum member B16 totaled his 2009 C63 AMG a few weeks ago.

I’d personally really love the seats and engine from the car, but I don’t have that kind of cash right now. If you are in need of parts for your C63, or want to build some sort of Frankenstein’s monster like I do, head over to the forum. Your help will ensure his car lives a longer life than it did. Our thoughts are with him. Hang in there.

Update: B16 ended up selling the entire car.
