I really want to get C63 but it snows a lot in my area.

I was considering 2nd car and was wondering what you guys have for 2nd car.

Thank you!

Cars.
If you get a lot of snow, then you'll need a second car. For places with mild winters and the occasional downpour, The C63 AMG with Winter tires will get the job done.

I have a couple of toyota corollas just for doing errands and for bad weather(rainy days). They do the job, I do like 330 miles with just a little over 30 dollars

2013 C63 AMG P31, 2014 GMC Sierra (6.2)
My alter ego car is a Chrysler Cirrus. Its been irreplaceable when it comes to activities that are potentialy hi risk to my AMG (Winter driving, confined parking lots, questionable neighborhoods, transporting certain things..etc). It's very nice having a second vehicle that's low maintenance, good on gas and something I don't have to worry as much about when I park it. Even with the Chrysler though, I'm still a fanatic with keeping it in good condition --both appearance-wise and mechanically...

Well said!! My second car is a Grand Caravan.. And loving the peace of mind of not worrying where to park the car.

2012 C63 Coupe
My 2nd is an Escalade EXT and it's brilliant... Tows the boat, it's AWD so it's great in the snow even on 24's with summer tires, dog rides in the back... It's everything my Coupe isn't which is perfect!

Funny thing is it weighs 5,900 lbs and the engine is a tad smaller than the C63 AMG

Ram 1500 4x4 crew laramie, works good of road hauls my boat & atv's plenty of power from the hemi engine. Only drawbacks are gas mileage and having a hard time parking in tight spots. Other than that shes great and will only be replaced if a light duty diesel ram is released.

Thanks!

I have one question.. Is it bad for the car for frequent short trips? (< 3 mi trips) I thought it is not good for the car to start/stop engine frequently, but since there are many "start/stop" cars (eco mode) out there... it just does not matter for the car to stop/start engine frequently?

The reason I am asking this is, my work place is <3 mi away from my place.. and I do go to Starbucks a lot with car which is also <3 mi... so lots of short trips.. Should I get 2nd car for these?

Thanks!

You want to avoid short trips as much as possible. The car doesn't get enough time to really warm up and the condensation in the oil doesn't burn off which will ruin the viscosity of the oil over time. Take the car on longer trips more often to burn off the excess condensation in the oil.
