I don't really understand what you are trying to do.
You have "Black Series grill" in the subject but your question is about the hood vents.
Either way replacing the vents by CF for example shouldn't take you long therefore your car won't stay vent-less. Or just park it indoor
Just FYI the vents have a little guide to route the water around the engine.

Like Abcut973 said, with the vents in the water won't touch the engine area. You can remove the hood and grill and washing your car normal will not damage the engine area if you get water on it. Lots of people power wash the engine area to clean it.

Just look at all his posts and threads. You guys are way nicer than I am because I'm already tired of him and remember things like this popping up left and right.
Everything that needs to be sealed and protected from water already is. You could drive without a hood on, in a rain storm, and be fine.

It's not a BS, and anyway those pics are of two totally different cars. He doesn't have a C63 let alone a BS, he just wants to keep asking stupid questions. If you stop feeding him he'll go away.

I seriously feel bad to all the great members that take these posts seriously, try to sincerely help, and spend energy decoding cryptic poor english...
I used to have the patience but don't as much anymore.

This hood vents are mounted on double-sided tape.

Also, BLKROKT's C63 is anything but regular with all the upgrades he's dumped into it (useful, track oriented upgrades).
As for the 3 others, they are among some of the best sources of info on this forum.
Go away troll, no one wants you here.

After some light stalking (because I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to string this guy up with fishing line through holes I dried into his toes)...
It appears he has a 507 and the avatar sl63 / username is in reference to wanting an sl.
And because I'm a good person, here's an little help for you sl63-amg.
The parts on the hood you are referring to are known as hood vents or nostrils. When you say "grill" people either think of the piece that has the big Mercedes emblem on your front bumper or what you cook hamburgers on depending on how you feel about the "e" in grill(e).
Next, you ask if it is harmful when you wash your car to remove them. Nope. Like I said before when I was being a "funny idiot," anything that needs to be water tight already is under the hood.
Then, you claim you want more airflow to the engine. You're gaining absolutely nothing in terms of usable airflow when it comes to having the vents in place or just two big dumb looking holes. It would look stupid and be stupid all at the same time. And even IF (thats a big effing IF) you're car was so modified to the point where that minimal amount of airflow made a difference, that difference would STILL be next to nothing.
The fact I'm even trying this hard to be nice to you makes me consider taking a chainsaw to my shins after carefully removing my sack with a scalpel and shoving my nuts down my throat just before popping my eyes out of their sockets with a jagged rusty spoon.

See for yourselves.
sl63 certainly has a strange behavior. Time that he/she depart from this forum and disappear.
