Hi Everyone! My name is Don. I recently bought my wife a 2013 GL 450. She (we) absolutely love it. The color is Tenorite Grey. I just finished installed an 2nd gen Illuminated star. I will write up a post with step my step instructions and pictures. I have it wired up so that it is not on during the daytime, but it comes on automatically when it gets dark (its wired to the parking lights). It also come on when you unlock the car (at night), along with the running boards lights, etc.
Looking forward to exploring the site....

Welcome Very interesting the way you wired it. When you unlock the door it only comes on when it is dark out. I installed a switch so I can turn it off when I want it off but as soon as I open the door the light comes on along with the sill and dome lights weather it is day or night.
