2017 GLC 300 4MATIC
New Interior for 2018?
I bought a GLC 2017 (from inventory) but am not completely satisfied with some features. Now considering building a GLC or GLE 2018 next year. But I can't believe the 2017 GLE interior (and GLS) still uses the old design (like that of the GLK). All 2017 sedans (C, E, S) and GLA, GLC have updated to the elegant & modern interior design. Do you guys think 2018 GLE (and GLS) will also update to the modern design? Honestly I won't even consider GLE if it still uses the old interior design...

Far more problems with the newer interior and the lack of buttons and reliance on strange input systems. I personally like the 2017 GLE/S interior, especially with nice Designo leather trim. I had a blue/dark brown one the other day that was stunning inside.
I do think the exterior is hideous though, but all taste is subjective.

I doubt there will be a change. I believe MB goes every 4 yrs and a model gets a refresh then it goes 3 yrs before a make over/new model. Maybe someone else can confirm this.
The 2016 GLE is actually a mid cycle refresh so the 2019 model year would be a total makeover (interior and exterior ). But I've been wrong before.

Correct - generation is normally thru 7 model years - 2012-to-2019 in this case - with 2020 generation changeover.
That said - 2018 GLE Dealer-Order-Guides "probably" will be released end-April for August 2018 US introduction.

Interesting. But the 2017 GLE exterior has been updated. And so is the exterior&interior of the E-class sedan. It looks like they are on their way to change the interior?

My understanding is it is scheduled for a makeover in 2018. Exterior Refresh, including designation change was made in 2015. I think there has been some chatter about '18 being a makeover year. However, I was always told not to buy the first year of a makeover, as all the bugs may not be worked out.

2016 and 2017 interior are the same for the W166 GLE. 2018 GLE will also be a W166 and the interior will be like 16 and 17.
