MBWorld Show & Shine

These three awesome Mercedes models stood out from a large crowd to score prizes from our first Show & Shine.

Car show season has unfortunately already come and gone, and few meets actually took place in this crazy year we’re living through. Thus, we thought it would be prudent to press forward with a virtual show we call The Great MBWorld Show & Shine. We announced this event in the MBWorld forums back in August, and suffice to say, lots of members heeded the call and posted fantastic pictures of their rides.

But as is always the case, there can only be one winner of this Show & Shine. Or, rather, a winner and two runner-ups. But picking winners was a rather difficult process with so many quality rides to choose from. Regardless, we pushed through and rewarded our grand prize winner with nearly $200 of goods that includes three of Avalon King’s Armor Shield IX DIY Kits, two bottles of Prep Shampoo, two bottles of Ceramic Maintenance Shampoo, and two bottles of Ceramic Booster Spray. Plus, our two runner-up winners will each receive their own pair of Armor Shield IX DIY Kits.

Grand Prize Winner – Saurabh914’s 2009 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

This stunning E63 AMG makes a perfect subject for some pretty stunning photography, and that’s the winning combination that member Saurabh914 presented us with. The owner has clearly taken fantastic care of this car over the years, and it features a few tasteful modifications as well. They include a set of S65 AMG wheels, VRP long tube headers, a Carbonio air box with K&N filters, and a Eurocharged V7 tune, along with a few carbon fiber trim pieces and many more to come.

Runner Up – SoCal210’s 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 Carbriolet

SoCal210 served up a pretty amazing ride and some great photography as well. Their 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 Cabriolet is also far from stock, however. Current mods include an AMG kit including those iconic wheels, H&R springs, and Koni shocks. The owner has also been working on giving this classic a mechanical restoration on the top end and front of the motor, so it can continue to run as good as it looks.

1999 Mercedes-Benz C280

Runner Up – Bleifuss’s 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280

Bleifuss’s 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280 might be a runner up in our Show & Shine, but it deserves a lot of credit for the amount of work that’s been done to it. The biggest change lies under the hood, where you’ll find a 2005 vintage 3.7-liter six-cylinder powerplant with a W203 air filter box a 3.5-inch ram air induction. But the clean machine has also been treated to an H&R suspension, Bilstein Autocross shocks, LED lighting, and C32 AMG wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber.
