Brabus Tunes Tesla Model S, and It’s Somehow Not Ugly
Brabus has a long and storied history of making Mercedes-Benz cars that are insanely fast, powerful, and… flamboyant. With big body kits, insane wheel fitments, and as much “stance-cred” as they could manage, most Brabus machines are as ugly as they are fast. But then I caught news of the new Brabus-tuned Tesla Model S, and just like the car it’s based on, it’s surprisingly understated. Aside from a few bits of carbon on the nose, a fancy blue paint job, and some new wheels, the Brabus Model S looks stock on the outside.
The real difference between the Brabus and the normal Tesla can be found inside. Brabus has slathered the Tesla with a bunch of interior changes that include completely redone seats, and blue stitching and piping accents everywhere. The seats themselves are a pretty cool looking mix of ridged leather and angular Alcantara strips that wouldn’t look out of place in sci-fi movie. Brabus also offers a new center console with better storage options.
If you were hoping that Brabus would at least make the Tesla faster, I’m going to have send you home with a sad look on your face. It seems that making Tesla’s impossibly fast machine go even quicker is proving to be quite difficult for most tuners, even the mighty Brabus.
